It seems like the doctor's attitude always trickles down. I am changing doctors because the one I am seeing is a total jerk. I have yet to meet a nice person in his office. As a matter of fact, I think they go out of their way to be unpleasant!

This is kind of a wide question. I had got carbon monoxide poisoning about 8 years ago. Still to this day I suffer from the different things think are attributed to this. On a daily basis, I have chest pain, rapid heart beat and mild confusion. Im wandering if these are resinating factors from my experiences. I never saw a doctor about it at the time because I didn't know anything about its long term effect. How long does it stay in your blood? For life? Should I see a doctor about some kind of treatment, or is it dead in the water at this point? Any help would be great

Last week I took an iodine deficiency test. The result is that I'm in extreme iodine deficiency. So I've been taking an iodine supplement and since then my stomach has been feeling better (I've had stomach problems since July 2006). Just because I have an iodine deficiency, does it automatically mean I have hypothyroidism? I have symptoms of hypothyroidism--sluggish, insomnia, difficulty losing weight, hair loss, depression, mood swings, hands and feet are always cold, headaches, decreased libido, etc. But will taking the iodine supplement be enough and if not, when should I see a doctor about it? I'm nervous about bringing it up to my doctor, I've given him all of my symptoms and he just says its depression and gives me more anti-depressants.

how to cure sore throat?

I've gotten some very kind and informative replies. I know it is believed there is no cure for ARMD. It is still "dry." I pray it will remain so. Since presbyopia has sort of counteracted my myopia, I was sort of wondering if LASIK (on one eye) might make me no longer need any correction at all for things like driving a car. The first bad floater appeared in 1993, and the opthomologist told me that eventually my brain would take over, over-riding it and I'd no longer be aware of it....never happened. In the last several months, I've developed one in my other eye. It makes reading very frustrating. (There is little else I enjoy as much!) I've recently read a number of reports through the Health Source of News-Max that suggests that the use of an oral chelation treatment has, for some, made a huge difference in visual floaters...they even disappeared for some lucky souls. Just need anyone's input. Do they return if one stops taking treatment? I'll see Doc. again in summer.Thx

Okay, I've been reading around and have found a few things saying that meat stays into your intestines for a lot longer than other foods because it is so hard to digest. I have become a vegetarian now for a little over 2 months. About the end of Jan. I started having gas, an upset stomach, cramping and diarrhea. I was told since I was eating for things with fiber in them, and a healthier diet my body was just getting rid of the meat in my system, and cleansing my body. I'm starting to wonder about it now though. I sometimes don't even feel like I'm about to have a bowel movement, and I do anyways. The movements are not that normal either. They are liquid-like, and have a larger odor that usual.

I don't know what kinds of foods have a lot of fiber in them to begin with, but even so...is this normal? I mean it has been about two and a half weeks of this. It is not getting any better...I don't quite understand. Thank you. If you need any other details I'll be able to give them to you.

I have all the other symptoms, except I don't have a problem with heat or feeling "hot" all the time. I do have excessive sweating, but it has nothing to do with feeling hot.

Starting in the fall of '05, I started having repeated bad "feelings" like dizzy spells, the feeling of not getting enough oxygen in my body even though I'm breathing deeply, and the feeling that I'm going to pass out. I saw a doctor in the emergency room about this and he said that I was border line anemic. I started taking iron pills and I felt a lot better but I no longer take them, over a year later, its starting up again despite me getting plenty of iron the past week. I'm a 28 year old male, what would cause me to be anemic??

Is anemia all that it could be?

I'm pretty nervous about this as I live alone and I don't want to pass out with no one around.

I have a friend that has dystonia and what it is involuntary movement. Here is a complete guide to what dystonia is.F

Dystonia

Program Description

Dystonia is a syndrome characterized by twisting involuntary movements or sustained postures. Virtually any part of the body can be involved including the muscles of the face, speech and swallowing, neck, trunk, arm or leg. The disorder may be inherited or may occur in the absence of a family history. The disorder may appear in childhood or adulthood. It is an unusual condition, and is frequently misdiagnosed.

In some families, dystonia is an inherited condition. In others, dystonia may relate to an underlying brain abnormality or may follow chronic exposure to certain drugs. The diagnostic evaluation focuses on elements of the history and physical examination which may elucidate the cause of the disorder. However, in many cases, no cause may be found. Once present, dystonia tends to be a life long illness, though

i have redish dots and red areas on both of the outsides of my hands.the more i stress out or panic, the more it gets worse. it's not psychosomatic. there's a tiny part that was bleeding on the side. it isnt itchy but it hurts and it's prickly. on some parts, there's considerably dark red lines. it looks like it's gonna start bleeding in some parts. i do have lots of anxiety, when i was a kid, i'd get horrible stomach aches when i had bad anxiety until i relaxed of course. i cant go to the doctor yet and i have to renew my insurance. im only 19. what do i do? this has been going on and off for a few weeks. my mom's an ER nurse but she says it's nothing. but it really hurts and it's really red and there's already a tiny cut or something with BLOOD! i dont understand why it's only on my HANDS & fingers. what's weird is i had a nightmare a few days ago of some evil entity drawing a cross in my right palm and telling me to choose between good and evil. it'd be creepy if it was connected.

While I was busy at home working on the computer today I heard a bang hitting my window, shards of glass flying all over my computer desk. When I looked up I noticed blood all over the wood, and suddenly noticed something tapping against my foot. When I jumped up surprised, I looked beneath the desk and noticed a raven hopping around on one foot chirping wildly.

I quickly called the animal agency and when they came over they noticed the bird was wearing a tag from the owner living next door which you can see in the following photo as well as the window.

Since he is arab is it normal for people of their culture to own wild birds? Also, can I sue for having him let loose the bird in the first place and for damages?

Also, since he hasn't returned from his vacation, what can I do to take care of the bird who has a broken wing, and a injured talon?

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Hi, I have a tiny hole just outside my ear, I was born with it and so was my brother. It some times produces a foul smelling liquid, my brother got it operated and filled it when he was a kid and later had another surgery to open it up when it started swelling and paining.

Interestingly my brothers elder daughter also has the same hole.

I'm wondering if any one has seen this before, and what is it called in the medical world?

It had one version in England type of english and one version in American type of english. It tells all the things that are linked to diseases (ie working in a tire factory) and the disease symptoms, what tests to run, what prognosis, etc....mostly doctor protocols...I have two of them, but can't find to recommend to someone in another question.. seems like it was geared to medical residents..

One of my friends says she thinks she has round worm, and I think she might too, because she eats a ton, and doesn't gain weight, she was too embarrased to ask anyone but me, so I told her I could find out for her. It would also be nice to know how else you might know if someone has any sort of parasite?

I have suffered from sleep paralysis since a child.. I always hated it but now I hate it more... For the past few years, when I'm in it, I can feel people punching and stabbing me Of course I don't feel the actual pain but its some kind of uncomfortable feeling... Do any other sleep paralysis people experience that? Also I feel a electrical sensation in my brain when I'm laying down and about to fall into sleep paralysis.. What is that?
