One of my friends says she thinks she has round worm, and I think she might too, because she eats a ton, and doesn't gain weight, she was too embarrased to ask anyone but me, so I told her I could find out for her. It would also be nice to know how else you might know if someone has any sort of parasite?

I work for a vet, it's hard to get roundworms from what I understand. Severe anemia would be a big symptom, and gastrointestinal problems such as diarrhea and flatulence. Here is a website with herbal remedies:

It is more likely to be another condition, but to be sure, she should go to the doctor, she might just have high metabolism.
Worms can be ingested through contaminated water, so she shouldn't be ashamed to ask her doctor. She could make an appointment to see the doctor with weight concerns, and then only ask the doctor (who must keep this confidential) and no one will know.

She should go to the doctor & get medicine.
I have recently read that they may come from,,well water / walking barefoot / build up in the intestines or colon / vegtables that are not washed properly to name a few but probably other ways of catching them also. I have read that they are ingested too through the mouth~the eggs. There seems to be alot of this going around lately for some reason. You can read up more about this on several health sites.

This is probably ringworm...which is a fungus commonly contracted from cats. Blue star ointment was a very effective treatment for me when I got it several years ago...good luck.
