Almost a year ago I started getting pretty bad stomach pain high up just under my rib cage. Soon after I also felt chest pain daily (like a woman in a stiletto standing on my chest). The pain interrupted my daily life. I saw a gastrointerologist and I was told it was just bad heartburn (after many expensive tests). I have been on prevacid, aciphex, and zantac. None of which made it completely go away. Then he suggested it was stress induced. I started seeing a psychiatrist and took xanax and a variety of other anti-anxiety medications. While the heartburn did not go away it was infrequent enough that I could have a normal life again but the side-effects were terrible. I finally stopped all of the meds but the chest and stomach pain (with some nausea) are back. At this point I am lost about what to do. I am not sure if it was anxiety causing the problem to begin with or not. Has anyone had a problem like this before? What should I do to get rid of heartburn?

I have been getting very little sleep for the past few months. I mean, I get about 2, maybe 3 hours every night. This is due to procrastination from all the homework I get from school. I feel like I'm on drugs sometimes, is that normal?? I've been gettin heachaches, which I have never in my life gotten before, and I am hallucinating a lot. I see things in corners and things pass by. I was told that when you don't get sleep, you're like this. But, also when people wake me up in the morning, they say I look like I'm on drugs-. Do you think sleep deprivation is linked with drugs? I have never taken illicit drugs, just telling you. I feel like I'm losing my mind!! Such painful tension headaches .. . :(

OK, so the other day I did a really stupid thing by swallowing BURNING hot oatmeal. Trust me, it was extremely painful as it was slowly traveling down my esophagus. Now, it hurts to eat period. I am 99 percent sure that I caused a burn in my esophagus. I want to know how I can make it less painful to eat, and also how long it will last. I do have mild acid reflux, but I have never experienced problems with my esophagus previously.
