A tracheo-esophageal fistula is an abnormal pathway between the trachea (windpipe) and the esophagus (tube that connects the throat with the stomach).

The esophagus is the tube between the throat and stomach, and a fistula is an abnormal passage between two internal organs so that food can go from the food tube to ___? Could be a real problem.
