1. It is said that it occurs more in cold climates (I knew a lady with it who slept with windows open in the winter)
2. This same lady drank a lot of coffee with artificial creamer and a heavy smoker... (tobacco is treated with pesticides in growing it)
3. I knew a guy who had it that was a professional golfer (they use a lot of pesticides on golf lawns and golfers bend down to pick up golf balls in the grass frequently)
4. I heard people with it sometimes lived in homes growing up that were kept overly cleanly and were protected from germs and from getting childhood illnesses that kids get that helps build up kids immune systems...

I have had M.S. since 1999 and I've learned many interesting things. If you were on a lot of antibiotics when you were young that can be a contributing factor to M.S. You can get pneumonia much easier and it can be fatal. And most importantly, Multiple Sclerosis does NOT kill you. What you die from is the complications ie: pneumonia And cancer. Cancer because when you have M.S. your body has a very tough time fighting of any disease because of the comprimised immune system. Anyways, if you have M.S. be strong remember that you have the disease the disease does not have you.

MS causes lesions in the brain matter and in the spine that can be seen on Mri's. I have one in my brain scan that may be MS? It also causes choking because of loss of muscle control. Bowel and bladder problems due to loss of control. Many other problems. However it does not pose a constant problem it comes in bouts? Eventually crippling and death. It is not cureable at this time?

they really don't know what causes it. but mostly occurs in people of caucasian descent from colder climates. they can't really pinpoint if it's genetic or environmental. there is no cure. the drugs that help control it can sometimes feel worse than the disease.
