Hi there. My primary doctor told me today that I might have gastroparesis. I've had bloating/constipation and reflux. Since it takes a long time before I have any bowel, she thinks I might have gastroparesis that has been causing the refluxing, etc. What are the tests that one needs to undergo to find out if they have gastroparesis? Also, is it possible to have delayed gastric emptying without it being gastroparesis? Thanks in advance! friendlygal

Ive been on here alot. I just want to say everything ive been feeling. Since January my Best friend had gone with another boy..im a boy. so we stopped talking. I became majorily depressed. We made up here in there. But i think that stressed me out alot. and after all of that i started to get ..what i like to call anxiety. I kept looking up symptoms and then having this feeling like someones squeezing my heart when i saw i had most of them. About a week and a half ago i started having breathing trouble. And what i forgot to mention was i had a pain in my throat almost like a lump was there. But yeah back to that night. I kept getting heart palpitations. I went to the doctor but my breathing rate was 99..right were they want it to be. Once they told me everything i felt better. 6 days ago it started to come back only this time its not going away. Im having heart palpitations.Tension headaches. It all progresses throughout the day ..and muscle aches now..

My symptoms felt like I had sprained my foot, and then became kind of bruised underneathe. Doctor said it was cellulitis because it was also swollen. X-rays confirmed I had an infection there. Antibiotics for 2 weeks and then again for another week. It went away or so I thought.

It has returned again, back on antibiotics for another week. Swelling went down a little, but something still doesn't feel right. Dr. is making me go for an ultrasound to test my veins and arteries to see if I have a circulation problem that is affecting me not getting well. Add to the fact that I am diabetic and therefore slow healing will take place.

I'm not sure what else it can be, unless my doctor has misdiagnosed me. She seemed stumped as well, as to why I wasn't healing properly.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

The inability to properly evaluate "McBurney's Point" leads to thousands of unnecessary surguries per year. Tiebreaker will be based on knowledge of "The Point" as well as the condition diagnosed falsely leading to the unnecessary surgery.

Ok well, i figured out that the ringing in my ears was from my tv. so i turned it off, and the ringing was gone. a few minutes later i come back in the room and i hear it, with the tv off. i went shopping, to school, and i didn't hear it, so its not bad.

i'm seeing an ear nose throat specialist, so i'm glad about that.

would what i experienced be considered tinnitus? and i went to the dr, he said my ears were fine. (i told him about the ringing)

yeah for the past few months i've been really really thirsty, and no matter how much water, gatorade etc i drink, it never goes away. and i get these really sharp pains in my temple sometimes and really bad migraines. i was watching a show with my mom one night and this woman had the same symptoms i did, and she was training to be a neurologist and she thought she had a brain tumor. i didn't watch the rest so i don't know if she actually did. also, i haven't been sick all winter, while everyone around me has had like mono and the flu and meningitis, which you'd think would be good, but to me that means my white blood cell count is high so anytime i contract something, my body just kills it off right away because there's so many white blood cells fighting off something bigger that the cold or flu or infection just gets swamped with white blood cells. do i have something wrong with me???

I have this bump behind my right ear, it varies in size sometimes. It is not tender or bothersome but I really want to know what it is. It is about 1/2 inch in diameter.

I don't know if I've ever had them before, but the left side of my face is very sore today. I've got a small cold, nothing major, I'm just curious about the swollen glands. :)

When I tilt my head back and to the right, I kinda feel a stretch by my ear and it hurts a bit, and when I bend over to pick something up off the floor, I can kinda feel like there's fluid rushing to that area or something. I'm going to the doctor soon, but they are already closed for the evening.

I tried feeling along my jawline and looking in the mirror to see if there's anything out of the ordinary, but I can't really tell. So...does this sound like my nodes are swollen, or is it probably something else.

I have a warm, tingling sensation in my right abdomen (right under the rib cage and about three inches down), which feels like there is a heating pad being turned on inside. It is not so much painful as it is uncomfortable. Anyone have any clue on what this could be? It is really freaking me out!

My baby (6 wks old) was diagnosed with Reflux. He was on Prilosec compound for a couple of weeks, but we needed to change to Prevacid b/c of concerns over the compounded Prilosec's stability. I have read that you cannot take "too much" of a proton pump inhibitor. I have asked his pediatrician if it is okay to still give him *some* of the Prilosec while we are waiting the (up to) 2 weeks for the Prevacid to start working. He said, "I don't see why not". I want a better answer than that! Hope someone here knows!
