is it possible for someone 2 sit in front of the t.v for almost the whole day then when told to turn it off they throw a tantrum? is it like some kind of disease?

Yes, it is possible to throw a tantrum. No, it is not a disease - unless you want to consider "I am spoiled" a disease.
Anyone under the age of 6 years old will sometimes try this. The less *constitent* discipline there is, the more the kids like to give it a try.
At the trantrum point, you must be a good parent and explain what they did wrong that is making them to be sent to their room (or "the naughty" corner) for the number of minutes to match their age (2 years = 2 minutes). If, after that time, they say they are sorry, you'll give them a hug, it is all resolved.
It is probably time for bed now as they are probably overtired, anyway.
P.S. If you are really into it, you can give them a 1st warning.
