I think it's a combination of all of the above really. Not enough fibre and minerals, and a high saturated fat content in what we eat can lead to digestive problems such as constipation which (if this is an ongoing problem in one's life) has been known to be a contributing factor in bowel cancer.
Also, physical activity (which increases a person's metabolism and thus how quickly food is processed and utilised in the body) is a major factor. Eating large quantities - the food often having a fairly high fat content as well - (I'm Australian, and when I visited I was blown away by the sheer size of a meal over there!! So much food!!!) coupled with sedentary behaviour leads to slower, more laboured digestion which in turn can cause problems down the track.
As for poor education, I think in this day and age, people from all walks of life are very well informed on what's healthy and what isn't. It's the choices people make (thinking "it won't happen to me") that's the problem. Moreover, it's been proven here in Australia that healthy food costs a lot more money, therefore, people from a lower socio-economic background are likely to only buy foods with a higher fat/sugar content (with diminished minerals, vitamins and fibres) not because they are ignoring the advice given on healthy eating - but simply because they cannot afford anything better.
Hope this answers your question.

Over processed foods are fast and easy to prepare. Now that so many families have 2 parents working it seems like an easier way to fix a meal...the real problem is that not enough fiber is being consumed in its more natural unprocessed state. State laws are changing so that kids in schools have less access to junk and are provided with more healthy choices. Parents need to ensure kids are getting enough fruits and veggies and should choose whole grain products for their families. We also need to cut back on the amount of fast food or restaurant meals we consume to avoid digestive problems.

I comprehend your frustration. My suggestion is which you attempt to offer him a severe fiber meals and make sure it is all overwhelmed so that's trouble-free to digest. it is likewise considerable to get a 2nd opinion. attempt to alter the well-being care provider or flow to a walk in health facility. Dont point out something approximately what your pediatrician mentioned. basically see if the different medical doctors will say the comparable difficulty. i'd additionally talk with a dietician who take care of youthful childeren. attempt to feed him little via little each few hours and not provide him each and all of the meals at as quickly as. this would additionally be inflicting matters. additionally attempt to offer severe fiber cereal. sturdy success

I think it's a combination of all those things, to tell you the truth. Americans do NOT practice good eating habits.. And the nation does not promote it either. We eat things that are awful for our bodies and lack the ambition/motive to exercise.

I LOVE the show "The Biggest Loser"-- I think it's a great motivator to those watching from home that you CAN do it and you CAN change your lifestyle to be a healthier you.

I think it's the processed food. No one cooks from scratch anymore. Our bodies are just full of chemicals and preservtives that stay in our systems. We are all so busy that's it's hard to find time to eat healthy, but we need to make it a priority.

I'd say poor diet, including the way food is processed. We eat larger portions of un-natural food, it was bound to catch up sometime.
