I have this bump behind my right ear, it varies in size sometimes. It is not tender or bothersome but I really want to know what it is. It is about 1/2 inch in diameter.

It might be a nightmare called a hookworm. Learn to do skin brushing, see if you can get one to come out. If not alive, then it's open to be anything.

i had one, removed by a derma, called subdermal cysts annyoing but harmless

it could be a sebaceous cyst which infames now and then goto your doctors asap.

probably a swollen post-auricular lymph node. go see your doctor and have it checked out.
