I've had tinnitus for a year now, amazingly every other day or every 2 days. I already saw one ENT who says nothing can be done except Bio Feedback. I want it gone. Any doctor in NJ that can help?

I got tinnitus last year after a minor head injury for which doctors refused CAT/ MRI. But my tinnitus has stayed and I found through google that once it starts it never goes away :( I guess my tinnitus buzz sound is not too sharp (some people report destabilizing sharpness/ loudness) but still it's enough to irritate me up. No hearing problems till now, but I've had some problems concentrating while doing work involving calculations etc.

I don't have one for you, but I have a worse problem with Tinnitus than you do and I have had it for roughly 5 years. I have been going to my ENT for 2 years, had two sets of tubes put in my ears, I have been on 4 different prescriptions, all to no avail. My Tinnitus is getting worse and I have thought of calling a teaching or research hospital to obtain more information or a Dr. that can help me. I will be glad to share that info with you when I receive it!!!

not from NJ- sorry- but maybe calling a university hospital and seeing what ent groups they have may help. often they are involved in many types of treatments for problems, and are on top of latest research.
I have tinnitus from Menierres disease ( always spell that wrong) so I feel for you... its very frustrating. I think there are many other ways to deal with it besides biofeedback. good luck.
