With great disgust I have been taking vicodin for appx five years. I only take the amount that is prescribed and I do not go to other doctors for refills or try to get them from outside sources. My boyfriend called me a drug addict the other day and it really got to me. I am quite sure that I am addicted but I am not sure to what degree. I have stopped, but when I had my son, I had a c-section I started again. The doctors gave them to me for my surgery. I did say that I "take them for back pain" because that is why they were prescribed. Every time I go back to the doctor he keeps giving them to me no questions asked. I would like someone who has been or is in my position to tell me how bad off I am. I take appx 4 per day. That is what is on the bottle. I did read somewhere that some vicodin addicts take between 30-100 per day. Am I as bad off as I think? Also is it a cop out to wean myself off or should I just go cold turkey, I have a child, withdrawal may affect me caring for him

He has been on antibiotics 3 times in the last two months, he is teething and therefore has a constant runny nose, hence the fluid in the ears, hence the earaches. The diaper rash and diarrhea is so bad I have to spray him off with the sink sprayer more than 10X a day. Not to mention the fact that he is building up a tolerance to these antibiotics. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a headache every month either on the day before the period or on the first day of the period. Sometimes lighter sometimes worse. For the two times when I had 2 drinks of alcohol on that special day, it worsened during the night and I woke up with quite severe headache. Once the headache was so bad that I threw up 5 times compulsively. The headache is often on the top or back of my head, sometimes throbbing when it's severe. It get worse with exertion. Pills such as Ibuprofen works. Never had any vision change before headache. I'm a female in her 20's.

If the cuff is to small for a larger arm, will it give a false high reading? And if the cuff is to big, can it be accurate on a smaller arm?

I was just watching The View, and the entire show today is dedicated to Autism. My daughter is 7 and has some behaviors that are symptoms of Autism. These symptoms I have just disregarded as normal childhood behavior, and never mentioned them to her doctor. The symptoms she exhibits are difficulty interacting socially. Some sounds seem to really bother her and have for as long as I can remember, she use to just scream and cry and cover her ears because of sirens or loud bells. She still covers her ears but no longer screams and cries. Then there are certain things that seem to really bother her on a level that I can not comprehend. An example would be, I had to move pillows and stuffed animals on her bed in order to reach something, I put them back as they were (or so I thought) but she flipped out. Screamed and cried and spent a very long time arranging them (crying the entire time) and I was not able to tell the difference between how I had them arranged and how she did.

I was treated for a intestinal infection on Sunday (food poisoning) I came in and my blood pressure was 95/68 and my heart rate was 108 or something like that. Kind of low so they gave me 3 liters of fluid because of dehydration. After that they tested me. (I had been resting the whole time) my blood pressure was still around 95 (It got up too 101) and my heart rate went to 115. (It was as how as 120) They were concerned because they said my heart rate should of gone down, and wanted me to see a doctor today (Which I will be) they wanted me to get more fluids but that seems too be alot of fluids. Plus I am 7 weeks pregnant

They seemed concerned but still let me go. Has this happened to anyone or has anyone experienced this? Should I be worried the doctor is going to say something is wrong with me?

Yesterday I felt dizzy throughout the entire day. Not "room spinning" dizzy, but a lightheadedness and whoozy type dizzy. I also had numbness and tingling in my lower lip. This is something that happens to me frequently. I have seen a neurologyst (two spots found on my brain) and I have had numbness (often) and tingling through my head and face, and sometimes limbs. I also get little electrical type shocks at times in different parts of my body. The neurologyst ruled out multipleschlerosis and said that I have had a mini stroke, but this has been going on for at least two full years now. I cannot see a doctor. I haven't insurance and am on workers comp, single parent. Can you shed some light on what it is that I may have? I am scared. Thank you!

I know this sounds like a dumb question but I am perfectly serious, so please, no stupid answers. I have always suffered from a sinus condition that makes me constantly have to blow my nose and take stuff out of there, if you know what I mean. Lately I am wondering if my nose has stretched out as a result of 4 decades of this behavior. It might be just me but it looks like it's gotten a little bigger lately. Does anyone know if this is possible?
