It would be best to speak to a GP about this and include as much info as possible, for example any other symptoms and things such as if you sleep but keep waking, how long you have been finding this has been happening and if you find there are any things that you feel make you sleep better (or not as well). It may simply be that you are not going into deep rem sleep or even oversleeping. It may be worth thinking about how comfortable you are - for example is your mattress in need of replacing, is the room warm/ cool enough for you, dark/ light enough for you, quiet/ too quiet? Though there are many self help techniques you may be able to use to help you sleep better such as learning breathing/ relaxation techniques, which can be learnt through Yoga for example, there could be many underlying medical causes so do seek medical advice. Once the doctor has examined you it will give a clearer indication of which path to take.

Good luck!

There are a lot of things that can cause fatigue (tiredness). Diet, Exercise, Waters intake, lack of motivation....... I suffer from a similar thing as you and have cut out fatty and processed food (not completely but they now only make up about 5% of my diet) I have also stated drinking a lot more water as dehydration can do an awful lot to the body. I have also begun looking for a new job, as I currently work as a receptionist I have to sit at a desk all day and therefore do a minimum amount of exercise during work hours also my job happens to be both very boring and have very little room for promotion which make it extremely de-motivating! I think it is very important to be motivated as it wakes up your senses and brain. Even doing little things like crosswords or Sudoku each day will help with your fatigue as it will keep your mind active.
Be sure to get around 8 hours sleep a night as both to little or to much can make you tired.
Search fatigue on Google or Yahoo (any other search engine will do to) - there is a wealth of information out there.

Hello :) you should go see a doctor for that because that was my friends first symptom of depression, he was always tired then after a few weeks he just didnt want to do anythign but stay home, he would even cry alot for no reason, he went on prescribed medication and now hes okay, no more pills too. Maybe you simple just need some motivation to be less tires like some excitment is missing from your daly routine, go skydiving ;) Good luck

You could have the sleeping diease takes 4 months to get over it and there is no treatment. Also, you may be animic, low in b12 or low in protein. A vitamin or you should be tested to see if you need more of a certain vitamin or something. Take care Heather

You may think you get plenty of sleep, but do you get good sleep? you may have sleep apnea ask your Doctor about a good Doctor to see about having a sleep apnea test. The test is a over night stay in a sleep clinic. If needed, they will subscribe you with a C-pap machine that assist your breathing at night to insure your brain is getting enough oxygen.

Could be anemia- low iron- or you could need a boost of 'B'Vitamins. A B12 and B6 each day may help. Sometimes, just a powerade a day maay help, as it has both vitamins B6 and B12 in it!
If its anemia, then a simple ferrous sulfate or 'iron' tablet will suffice. Possibly a multi vitamin that has all of the above in it! Feel better soon!

Be sure you are eating a high protein breakfast to help give you energy and limit your carbs during the day. If you do eat high protein breakfasts and are still tired then see your doc for physical and let him try to figure out what is wrong.

I would agree with all of the answers above, however it may be that you have Diabetes too.

You must visit your G.P. to determine exactly what the problem is. Using answers isn't going to help- it may even scare you!

A G.P. will be able to run some tests or send you to Hospital for a full examination

You need to go and get a full physical with blood work. You might be anemic and that can be fixed really easily. Your thyroid function needs to be checked, also have you been sick recently? Your MD should do a Mono screening. Dont wait, go!
