By definition... Lung infection can only be caused by a bacteria or virus (the infection bit). In fairness however, technically I suppose a fungus could also be a kind of infection, so maybe fungi? But I have never heard of any instance of this happening.


Second one... Bronchitis. Again, as you know predominantly caused by bacteria or viruses. Other things can cause bronchitis though. Bronchitis is just inflammation of the bronchi as exudate has leaked from the blood vessels and with it white blood cells. Late response asthma can be a cause of bronchitis as can the inhalation of irritant substances such as fine dust, abestos, or even plant spores (in the case of farmer's lung).
