My brother is in End Stage Renal disease. He has had so many problems with medicare, that they've actually dropped him from his dyalisis center, forcing to go to the hospital to dyalize, making it harder for him to be dyalized on time. What can I do to help him get his medicare straightened out? His social worker is not giving him the time of day.

This is not a joke. He burps at least 5 to 10 times per hour and it is very offensive. The odor is nauseating and it makes me feel like I am going to throw up. It smells like rotten stomach acid. Now he passes rotten smelling gas and the odor stays in his underwear. Its rancid! I can smell his acidy gas odor in my recliner chair where he sat last evening for 2 hours watching TV. I am seriously thinking about throwing it out.
I have smelled some pretty rotten things before because I am a nurse, but this is way out of anything I have ever seen. Where do you think the problem is. I know it is not normal to burp up stomach acid over and over and over and he keeps saying "excuse me". Do you think he may have some type of digestive disorder?

I have much edema in my legs after a severe trauma & surgery on my tibia to repair. I also have left ventricle heart dysfunction. I might consider to try LASIX to expel excessive water from my tissues. But I fear the dangerous side-effects. I read that Kidney functions can get deranged, frequent testing is needed, and that one must take potassium chloride if taking Lasix. I don't believe that any MDs will divulge the frightful toxicity of this drug. They will prescribe it for me - but I fear what it may do. I reviewed the info on it and it is deadly toxic. I have a clean body with no Rx drugs in my system. I just don't want to get sicker than I am.already.

So please- if you are on Lasix or were on it - inform me what really happened and your side-effects and how well did it eliminate tissue edema? did it make you sick? What is your warning to me.??

I always use natural herbs, and avoid chemical Rx drugs for all my life. Thank you for answering. Please help.

I just had a short, month-long bout with hyperthyroidism. The cause is unknown at this time, but for now I feel back to normal. Will it come back? Is this indicative of one cause more than another?

My friend has appendicitis and supposedly, his appendix ruptured (according to another friend). Is is plausible that he did, because I think that he would be in serious condition now. My other friend told me that he had called them and said that it ruptured but wouldn't he not be in a good possition to call someone? Was it just a misunderstaning or his it true. If it can be true, how serious is it?

I know that persistently forgetting where something was left (e.g. keys) is a sign. My father doesn't do that, but what about the following. He will sometimes tell a joke or a story, only to tell it about 20 to thirty minutes later. This does not happen every day, so I do not want to bring up the possibility with him. I think he would become angry anyway, and not go to a doctor.

I would like to know what I will do? My verbal skills are significantly damaged along with my memory. I have began suffering through seizures that caused me to become unconscience and hospitalized for several hours. I don't have a woman to care for me. Nor do I have any idea how I will gain the social skills I will need to find a woman to care for me. Of course I will talk more if I find reason to continue.

I want to get it for me, my husband, and children. I want to beable to swim without having my husband around, take my kids to the park or even just go shopping. With not being able to drive and having the seizures he won't let me take them to the park by myself. The auras (fear feeling very strong) are very often. the seizures put a lot of stress on my husband also not just me and my kids. I have a memory loss problem and I am sick of it. what is your opinion on doing the surgery?
