High hystamine producers feel the cold less than people with a more normal level. The down-side to that is that they tend towards arthritis later in life.

If your immune system encounters some viral infection etc that it has previously delt with then the antibodies will still lie in the blood so you would either not catch that cold or have a very mild version of it. However like the FLU colds can mutate and change which is why we keep getting them.

If he's a big guy the fat would keep him warm but that's it.

These are 2 kind of Fats in Human body: Cutenous Fat; Visceral Fat.
He might be fat because he has a lot of visceral fat (tummy fat) but only has little cutenous fat (fat under skin).

Fatter people feel the cold more that thin people. It is unlikely that he is impervious to cold!
