My friend has appendicitis and supposedly, his appendix ruptured (according to another friend). Is is plausible that he did, because I think that he would be in serious condition now. My other friend told me that he had called them and said that it ruptured but wouldn't he not be in a good possition to call someone? Was it just a misunderstaning or his it true. If it can be true, how serious is it?

How sick a person gets following a ruptured appendix depends on how fast the rupture is treated and the appendix removed. If the rupture occurs shortly before or during surgery, the fast introduction of broad spectrum antibiotics and a thorough cleaning of the abdominal cavity can greatly limit how ill the person becomes.

If the rupture occurs hours before surgery, the outcome is not so rosy. Person can become extremely ill, sepsis can set in (generalized infection that enters the blood stream) and it can even lead to death.

It can very well be true that your friend's appendix ruptured but your friend may have been extremely lucky as he had surgery during or shortly after the rupture occurred.

The affliction might be at the r ight facet. Real low.I went to the health center as soon as a even as again considering I had appendicitis. The dr. was once pushing on my proper facet and I might scream everytime he might push down on my r.facet. Without taking any blood or something he mentioned good it is not your appendics.I requested him how he might inform it was once'nt and he mentioned it might'nt harm while he driven down on it but it surely might rather harm while he took the strain off. So thats the change among appedicitis or a contamination of a few variety.
