I want to get it for me, my husband, and children. I want to beable to swim without having my husband around, take my kids to the park or even just go shopping. With not being able to drive and having the seizures he won't let me take them to the park by myself. The auras (fear feeling very strong) are very often. the seizures put a lot of stress on my husband also not just me and my kids. I have a memory loss problem and I am sick of it. what is your opinion on doing the surgery?

If i remember right, one surgery is to cut the corpus callosum. You would have trouble sending messages from the left hemisphere to the right, thus you could possibly have some cognition problems. Make sure you talk to a doctor to know exactly will occur in the surgery, and what the potential (and the worst case) side effects will be. Messing with the brain can have some serious side effects, but so can epilepsy. Good luck.

Do you mean "brain surgery"? Are you taking any anti-seizure medications? Have a consultation with two different doctors.
