do you notice it? everytime we sneeze, we tend to shut our eyes.. why is that?

Twofold answer, to keep debri from getting in eyes and to keep eyes from coming out of their sockets.

facial muscles tense up in such a way when sneezing so that your eyes shut automatically.

eh.i think its a chain reaction.like when i pierce my nose that time.tears just flow out naturally.not because its pain or what.i think there are some nerves or something that connects from the nose to the eyes.

Because it is phycially impossible to hold them open while sneezing. It is your body's natural reaction.

It is an automatic reaction- it stops the spray from getting in our eyes- we don't want those germs in there-D
