I've been sick for the past 3 1/2 years. When I initially became ill, I lost 30lbs within a month. Everytime I ate I would get a fever, nauseus (dry heaving soon followed), cramps and diarhea. Followed by horrible muscle aches and a rash.

It's better now, and I get flare ups like this every once in awhile, but struggle still with fevers, aches, and eating. I get terrible stomach aches and my right side swells right under my ribs which they thought was my galbladder but turns out not so.

Doctors say that they think it's Crohn's but can't pinpoint the imflammation so they can't diagnose or treat me, so they say I have "IBS/Crohn's".

Has anyone gone through this? Is there hope that I'll grow out of this, or get diagnosed so I can be treated?

Were they satisfied? How long did it take to heal? Did or does the person have trouble breathing today? Did it look natural?
Thanks for your input.

I've had swollen lymph nodes for a couple of years now. I was sick a lot the first year, but my adenoids were taken out and i haven't been sick since february. The lymph nodes that were swollen from the beginning are in my neck, and right below where my head turns into my neck, the tonsillar lymph nodes I think they are called.
Well after i had my adenoids taken out, the swelling went down considerably. I have one still very swollen, the size of my fnger nail in my throat, but it's been like that ever since I can remember so I doubt it's serious. The others have gone down in size a great deal and are a tiny bit swolen, just a little.
I take 2 grams of vitamin C daily, and I haven't gotten sick since February and have fought off several colds.
I'm asking this question because I felt a tiny bump when i pushed in from my neck, felt like it was attached to my throat. It's not my adams apple. Its directly below the chin, where you can feel the throat, its in the middle. What could it be?

Since June, I have had increasingly severe heartburn. They discovered my gallbladder was bad (the outtake was at 6%) and removed it. The heartburn has not gone away. They went down inside my throat with a scope. Normal. It doesn't matter what I eat -- everything hurts. I do feel best, however, when I refrain from eating altogether. Tests show my heart is fine. Heartburn meds DO NOT help -- I've tried them ALL for several weeks each. Zelnorm doesn't help. Procardia doesn't help. Only Vicodin helps. Now my very capable gastroenterologist wants me to go to the Mayo Clinic or Iowa City -- he's stumped. Any ideas? Also, any thoughts on which Clinic would be best to help me with this? Thanks so so much.

Anyone out there that might know.... my bf broke up with me at the beginning of Oct. I was so upset, I lost my appetite for a couple days. When I started to eat again, everytime I ate, I got a bad stomach ache. So, it's been over a month and it just keeps getting worse. I have lost 10 pounds, which wasn't so bad. But now I am feeling tired, foggy in the head and my stomach was hurting so bad this weekend, I spent the weekend sleeping in the fetal postition. I do not have any nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, nor do I have constipation. Any clues? I have an appointment for my general dr for Monday, but I am not feeling well now. Thanks
Oh yeah, I have tried, Pepto, Rolaids, and Prilosec, with no relief. Eating seems to make it worse too.

When doing blood tests the red blood cells are counted (RBC), the hemoglobin (HGB) is measured, and the HCT is measured. The HCT is said to have a normal range of 39.6 to 49.6. What does the HCT stand for? Second question: If the RBC, HGB, and HCT are all low, can this result in anemia, which symptoms would be lacking energy and pallor? (The RBC is 4.02 (normal is 4.3-5.9), HGB is 13.3 (normal is 13.4-17.0), and HCT is 37.7 (normal is 39.6-49.6).

I have had a sore throat for about 1 month now. I went to the doctors about 1 weeks ago, and she said it looked fine, and sent me home. But this morning, when i woke up, i look in my throat with a flash light, and it is really read. My tonsill's are white and swollen. I have a hard time swallowing, even liguids. And my voice is hoarse. My cheast hurts when i breathe in deep too, but i dont know if that has anything to do with it.

I have to work during the time that my doctors office is open tommorrow, and i cant take off work with such short notice. But i have today oof. Since my doctor isnt in today, should i just go to the ER, or should i just wait for this to go away on its own?
