Warfarin is cheap. You may need to look around for a doctor who you can afford, but ask yourself this: "Can I afford the complications if it doesn't heal?"

I wouldn't wait for 3 weeks to see a doctor, if it is something that you feel may very well be life threatening, you should maybe go to an urgent care center just as a precaution. Sharp pains in the leg can indicate blood clots especially since you indicated that you are not that active. The bruises can indicate it as well. You have an adorable baby and you need to be there for her as you already know ;0) So have it checked as soon as you can. Visit urgent care(if you can) Let them know you have a follow up with your doctors. Doctors will generally take you in sooner if you call and say that you've been to the ER or Urgent care. I might also ad you have something to be concerned about if there is pain in your left arm.

Man, you have a what? it can't cover 60% no way. It may be big but not that big. If it's even ten percent of this you'd better get to an ER right now to have it drained before it moves. If that thing moves or spawns smaller clots they can move to you heart causing a fatal heart attack, to the lungs causing collapse and death, to the brain causing a stroke. Do you hear me? I wouldn't worry about prices and get going.
You may even end up in a hospital until it's gone, something like this is fatal sir. The hospital will not turn you down. Worry about paying for it later.

Unfortunately, you need to go to the hospital. A blod clot can be life-threatening. If part of it dislodges it can travel to your lungs or brain and kill you. You should be on IV blood thinners and under supervision until the clot resolves. If you cannot take blood thinners for reasons other than money, a filter can be placed in your vena cava to catch any clot that tries to move to more dangerous places.

Go to the hospital. They can help you apply for medicaid if you have low income and/or help you find low cost insurance.

Well if you continue to do nothing it will take care of itself and you. The clot can break loose and lodge in your lung (pulmonary emboli), in your heart (heart attack) or in your brain (stroke). It can also lodge in any of your other organs or eyes. You cannot make it go away on your own without medical help. You need blood thinners that will prevent it from growing further and meds that will help to dissolve it. No insurance or not... is it worth dying over? That is the chance you are taking.

If you really have a blood clot you can take your meds or die. The choice is yours. If it is actually something else, you will have to see a doctor and agree to treatment to get it fixed.

THere isnt anything you can do yourself. You'll have to make an appointment at the hospital for an ultrasound on your leg. Once they confirm it, they will put you on blood thinners. It's life threatening... so don't wait around just because you dont have money. They'll accept you, they can't just let you die. You'll just be in a little bit of debt for awhile. hope all goes well.

Hello Ritchie, my name is Michael.

Since the prescibed medication is too expensive, I suggest you begin consuming Garlic tablets, and eating garlic. Garlic is a natural anti-coagulant (blood thinner) so it may help your condition. Also, therapy (massage) may assist you. Heparin is what is prescribed to people with blood clots.
It is too bad you have such a condition. Remember, in the mean time to keep your sick leg elevated as much as possible.
