I have been having fairly severe stomach pains and nausea. Additionally, there is a little area of swelling....basically a "pouch" right above my navel (right where my stomach is, I guess.) Any idea what this could be until I can get it checked out? None of the medical websites seem to address all the symptoms I'm having (especially the swelling.)

His understanding is that if he dont take plavix for the rest of his life, that the stent(s) will fill up. The Drs also said that the arteries are now ok, and his veins are what is still wrong with him, but they indicate that nothing can be done, even tho its a vascular problem in his lower legs. No Dr has ever done an ultra-sound of his lower legs, only the top half at which time they found the trouble with the right renal artery and left femoral artery and rushed him to the hospital. I have tried checking online for info and what I am finding indicated plavix for the heart and also veins in the legs, to keep clots from forming. He cant afford plavix only making 960 a month from SS. I cannot believe nothing can be done for his lower legs, especially when no tests have been taken, we are getting a second opinion. I am going in thurs AM for removal of lung cancer of left upper lobe, will sure rest easier knowing its not hopeless for him. Thank you all so much. Marti

My husband and I are having our first baby in March. I'm about 12 weeks pregnant and recently found out that my husband's biological mother has neurofibromytosis that runs through her family. Her mother had it and two of her siblings have it. My husband, his brother and sister are all healthy.

I read about the disease, but am wondering what the odds are that our baby will have it, and am also wondering if my doctor would want to do an amnio or CVS test...

I'm so nervous and scared... I pray that our baby is healthy, as it took a long time and lots of fertility treatments to bring him/her here.

Thanks for any info or feedback that you may have.

I have a question for my PSY 150 class, and we have to answer a question about which of our 5 major senses would be most devastating to lose. I said that my vision would be. We have to use an internet source, and I looked for support groups for the blind, but couldn't really find any information. I then decided that I would like to hear about how people and their families deal with someone they love losing their sight. How did that person cope with it? How is your family coping with it? Have their other senses developed more strongly? Are they still able to get around on their own, or do they always need someone with them to help them? Are they more independent?

Is there any company or pharmaceutical/medical group out there reaserching a cure for lycantrophy? Ultratech has scammed me, and I'm beginning to think there there's no hope...

Maybe I should just embrace the wild side and allow insanity to take over... there's no hope for someone like me to reincorporate to society...

The obvious thing that comes to mind is that many will be saved, but do you honestly think that will happen? I am referring to political affairs and things that would inhibit the chance for millions to live.

I am 31 and have had bad stomach problems for years now. I have GERD (severe acid reflux). I take Prevacid. I told my situation to the first doctor and he looked quite concerned that my condition was getting worse. He thought I was also anemic and sent me for blood tests. I got the blood test done and have an appointment to see a GI doctor for the first time in my life. I am afraid of what the results will show. Would it be bad if i didn't go and just continued to take Prevacid? Can I die from this condition?

I found tiny black worms in my garden tub. Did research and the only thing I found is they look like Anchor worms, but they are only in Alaska, in cold weather. I used bleach, didn't work, ajax worked but when the tub was refilled they were back. What is a drain worm? I only have cold water, don't use hot water in the summer. These guys are really tiny, about as long as a finger nail. Black and did I say tiny? They roll up and look like a speck of dirt, orginally thats what I thought they were, till they unrolled and wiggled. I really want to get rid of them. Went to the hardware store and that guy didn't have any idea. Water company said it wasn't their problem since it was only comming from one faucet. I called a plummer. He can't help. But he did say it might be from my hot water heater, since there is no hot water. But wouldn't that be in all my faucets in the house. Well, I think they are comming from the tub jets. Help Plz!
