Anemia symptoms are extreme fatigue. Heart palpitatons, dry skin, cracking at the corners of the mouth. Pale skin. I had this and didn't know what it was until blood tests found it.

I don't know about iron overload symptoms (Hemochromatosis). But I once worked with a man that had this. He had to go every few weeks to donate blood to keep the iron in his blood from getting too high. Here's a website that might help with that.

It is very rare for a young woman to have iron overload because of their periods.
Usually men get this, but it is hereditary.
With iron deficiency anemia you need to eat a lot of red meat, steak, or liver. If you get you iron from vegetables, you will have to supplement it with Vitamin C.
