I am 19 and have been dealing with very hard and odd symtoms for about three years now. I have extreme fatigue, constant entire body pain, headaches that occasionally progress to migraines, sores that do not heal and are there for no apparent reason (I counted the sores on one of my legs yesterday, not including my foot which also has many sores, and counted 38)the sores are also on my arms and back and inside my nose, also large and very horrible looking bruises all over my legs for absolutly no reason I am not clumsy I do not bump into things nor do I drop this on myself or do anything to cause a bruise, they are all over my legs there is hardly one spot on my legs that is not covered in brown purple or yellow bruises. Also if I do happen to have an itch if I scratch it it breaks the skin instantly and I bleed profusly and have another sore that does not heal. I also am dealing with anxiety, restlessness. I cannot sleep at night either because i am in too much pain to fall asleep.

I had my sigmoid removed 4 months ago due to diverticulitis, I just found out I have it again. What are my chances that I won't have to have surgery again? I am on the same 2 very strong antibiotics that did not work for me the first time. I am only 32 years old.

I need a disease, preferrably caused by poor diet, genetics and lack of exercise (lifestyle stuff), that would make the person extremely weak. I think I'm looking for something like cancer that kills gradually anyway but if you get pregnant with this disease, you basically don't stand a chance of living at all...? It's not for homework so feel free to shoot in any ideas. Such a disease might not exisit, but I'm hoping for some suggestions.

I have venous stacis ulcers that pop out on my feet. This is due 2 the fact that the valves in my large veins are faulty and leak. The ulcers R EXTREMELY painful and take up 2 5 months 2 heal, which means I have 2B laid up off my feet almost the entire time. I am way 2 young 2B laid up 4 that length of time. The present ones R just about healed. Does any one have some good advice or experience as 2 how to prevent them from coming back ??? Also there isnt any type corrective surgery 4 this condition as far as I know.

My sister is an alcoholic. She's been admitted numerous times to the ER. My mom finally got a copy of her blood work. Her liver function was not in normal range. Her ALT was 107 and her AST was 212. POLYS was 90?? I have no idea what these numbers mean. Are the liver numbers accurate? Is her liver shutting down? Or is this just a false reading since she recently consumed alcohol.

I'm normally the kind of college student that gets 6 hours a night, and thats enough, and 7 is a great nights sleep. Within the last few nights I have been unable to wake myself up before 10:00 am. This included going to be around 11:00 pm. So I'm sleeping close to 11 Hours a night. My sleeping environment hasnt changed at all. My only concern is that it isnt even an issue of self discipline, as my alarm went off this morning I was unable to turn it off. I was messing around with button on top instead of the side(Have had the clock for over 4 years). When my cell phone vibrated and woke me up, I got up to turn off my alarm clock!

Any Expanations?

My older brother was a smart guy. Brilliant, actually. He has two advanced degrees and speaks four languages. When he got two DUIs during college and then grad school, we were concerned but didn't think alcohol and drugs would take over his entire life. That was ten years ago. Today, he cannot hold a job and literally cannot function without alcohol in his system. He went through detox last year and went into cardiac arrest. He has been in and out of rehab, and in and out of hospitals. Which is where he ended up late last night, beaten severely with a baseball bat. I could go on forever detailing the ways in which he has destroyed my family's lives. But my question is this: is there ever a point at which you should wash your hands of a relative who doesn't want to save himself?

My doctor prescribed Aranesp for my anemia. This medicine costs over $1300 for a two month supply. Also, I will need to have lab workups every month, plus see the prescribing doctor every month. I feel as if he has gotten his clutches into me and I'll never get out.
If Aranesp is indeed what I need, fine. But another doctor says I don't need it right now.
I don't know what to do. My hemoglobin level is 10.3.

My sister-n-law is bound and determined that one of her 3 children be sick all the time. Not just a "cold" sick. She drags them from doctor to doctor and hospital to hospital trying to convince doctors that they have different fatal diseases. There are so many instances I could name. All craziness. Her kids are all healthy normal kids. I understand they need to go WHEN THEY ARE SICK. I was just wondering the name of the condition so I could research it. I am going to send the info to my brother (yes, and cause a war) he seems to be so clueless and believes anything she says. I've known this woman 28 years. she was my friend from elementary school way before she married my brother. He needs to wake up.She is going to cause him to go bankrupt with needless hospital visits and doctor visits. At least 1 of the 3 kids goes to the doctor 1-3 times a week. She will start on one kid and it last about a month and go on to another kid when she can't make them be sick.
