when I won my disability case in March of 2006,I was then givin medical assistance as well through Social Services of Mo.Or Family Services (as they say)I have had to pay back all those who helped me to keep me from losing my home that I once worked so hard for.I am a single 44 in age female who has no clue as to how everything works when one's body breaks down.I was told that I make to much? and ended up on a SpinDown at $211.00 a month,my income is only $926.00 per month, and I have a Mortgage to pay and utilities and that is it.In total...my bills average about $996.00 per month, how can I possibly continue this $211.00? I need to keep up with my doctors.I do have a roommate but unfortunantly her job was a joke and what was said to her by a new manager on several occasions was not right, but I do not blame her for leaving. So lets say I didn't want a roommate how would I beable to keep what is of great need,as I also need to see a dentist. Can someone please give me a good answer???

i'm 16 years old girl, when i sense the left side of my neck i feel there's like lumbs in it and i thought it's normal, that's what everyone told me even my parents, that was like 4-6 years ago, since then nothing happen and i'm a healthy girl, i never got sick more than a light flue, and i've seen a programme about cancer and lumbs, and i'm afraid now, but like i said i don't feel anything not normal, and i told my parents again, and they said that it's nothing and i'm over reacting and they won't take me to the doctor because i'm healthy and ok, so, now i won't be able to make sure, what should i do, and if you have some information tell me please if i;m sick or not??

Although the answer given are on the whole fairly accurate, I feel that often it is given in too much detail. Non-medically trained people tends to read small prints and they tend to worry about rare side-effects or complication that rarely happens. Do they really want to know the pathophysiology of the disease? Do they really want to know which gene and which molecules are responsible? Does it really matter? Is this really what the askers are looking for? Small prints that you don't get during medical consultation, or are they looking for reassurance that they are not the only ones who have the disease?

What I've seen so far people ask questions that can be easily answered by practice nurse or GP, which I personally feel is more appropriate then asking the internet community and get told about rare complications or wrong information sometimes.

I supposed another way to phrase the quesiton is "Are internet patients hypochondriac?"

Don't tell me to go to the doctor. I am going to go soon. I just want an idea of what it could possibly be. I often get a sharp pain for my fingers to the middle of my forearm. This happens to both of my arms. My hands always hurt. My mother, 38, and her mother, 64, have "Carpal Tunnel". My dad, 40, and his mom, 78, have "Rheumatoid Arthritis". I am only fourte
en though. Right now my right arm is throbbing. My arms and hands are shaky. I don't beleive it could be what my family has since I am only 14 and female. If you have any questions just ask.

The only way for it not to hurt is to shake my hand for about twenty seconds but then it starts to hurt again in a couple minutes. I want to know if there is anything to stop the hurt.

I have stopped riding my bike, shooting, and writing for the most part. The grip hurts alot.

It is more often from my elbow to 3 inches down into the fore arm.

The pain is sort of like when some people (including me)get growing pains in the legs

My husband was recently diagnosed with CMML, due to a bone marrow test.(he will be 74 in December). His white cell count was 16000th and went up to 18000th. last test was 16700th.He was told as the result of last test that was normal, but his primary Dr. was concerned when it elevated to 16000th's. What is a normal range?
He is being treated for low platelets. 1 - 1 1/2 years ago they showed up at about 45 (thousandths)...since then he has given up smoking & drinking and regular coffee. The platelet count (last tested)was about 65.
He has none of the symptoms related to CMML (weakness..shortness of breath..anemia..bleeding..bruising..recurrent infections..enlarged spleen)and his hematoligist doesn't seem to be to concerned about it. Saw him last month and he doesn't want to see him for another 3 months.
Hematoligist says platelets can be added to do this procedure, and would probably be an over night stay in the hospital.
Back to original question. What is normal range for White Blood Cells?

There's this... Thing that happens to me evry once in a while... Its really frustrating... Here's what happens... Sometime, mostly at night... Every sound that comes to me seems to come at a great speed... Like it sounds like evrything is going extremely fast... And so when I move... It feels like I'm moving in slow motion... So due to that, I start moving extra fast to catch up with every sound that I hear... But when I do this, I'm concious that I'm moving extra fast... And its freaky... It freaks me out, and I can't help it when it happens... What's wrong with me? I don't do drugs, i don't drink often, and I do smoke... But I don't think that has anything to with it...

Having being confirmed with IBS recently after suffering for 3 years I was prescribed Colofac. I have also been taking any anti diarreahh tablets to the maximum on a daily basis as well as Buscapan and the occasional pain killer. Is there anything else I can take to stop the misery of constant stomach cramps and bloating not to mention the hours spent sitting on the toilet in absolute agony.
