This sounds like a perfect excuse to see your doctor. You could be on the verge of a stroke. You could have a brain tumor. There are any number of things that could be wrong, but most certainly you need a medical examination to determine the reasons behind your problems.

Lyme disease takes more than a few days to onset. You can only diagnose meningitis with a lumbar puncture. Your symptoms could be a number of things, serious and not so serious. You should really see a doctor if those symptoms persist. Staph infection also has those symptoms and could travel to your heart. Fever? If you don't have insurance, get to the emergency room.

Sinus infection will do all of the above as well. Also, infection of the lumph glands in the neck (had that recently myself and it feels pretty lousy).

However, the only sure way to know is to see a doctor and if you're having chills and disorientation, sounds like you needed the doctor yesterday not tomorrow.

Those were my 2 immediate thoughts - lyme disease or meningitis. Both can be pretty serious. Hope you don't put off seeing a doctor too much longer. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I could just be a common cold. I think you should consult with a REAL DOCTOR.

Lyme Disease is usually marked by a FAIRLY LARGE red rash with a white spot in the middle where the deer tick bit you.

There is no substitute for licensed medical attention.

There is no way anyone here can give you more than a 'guess'....your symptoms fit too many illnesses that could range from mild to severe.

No way would I even venture to 'guess' because I would rather focus on telling you that you need to seek professional medical help to be sure.

Good Luck.

could be a lot of things from sinusitis, to strep throat to mumps.
If you are running a fever, you need to see a doctor immediately. I also don't feel comfortable with your symptom of 'general confusion/disorientation.' not good, esp. if you are behind the wheel of a car !
Get to doctor ASAP !

It could be a sinus infection or meningitis, to name a few possibilities, you need to call the doc and get in right away.
