i'm 16 years old girl, when i sense the left side of my neck i feel there's like lumbs in it and i thought it's normal, that's what everyone told me even my parents, that was like 4-6 years ago, since then nothing happen and i'm a healthy girl, i never got sick more than a light flue, and i've seen a programme about cancer and lumbs, and i'm afraid now, but like i said i don't feel anything not normal, and i told my parents again, and they said that it's nothing and i'm over reacting and they won't take me to the doctor because i'm healthy and ok, so, now i won't be able to make sure, what should i do, and if you have some information tell me please if i;m sick or not??

When you talk to your parents..explain that you're worried...Don't think the worst...it could just be a fatty cyst!! It's better to have a doctor check it out...If the lump isn't getting bigger..chances are...you're fine...

If you've had it for many years and it hasn't grown, and if you feel otherwise well, then you are probably not dealing with cancer or leukemia/lymphoma. A simple blood test (full blood count) can tell you if you have any blood disorder/malignancy. If you are really concerned and bothered by the lump (for cosmetic reasons or otherwise), you could talk to your doctor about getting it excised. They can then examine the excised lump under the microscope and make sure that it wasn't a cancer
