Abbey, please talk to someone (social worker or nursing staff) at CHOP, they can put you in touch with someone else nearby that can be there to support you through your treatment and after. Someone who has been through a similar situation and can share with you what to expect and to be a good listener.

I had breast cancer (2 cm) tumor and went through surgery, chemo and radiation. Some of the treatment is similar but it's different too.

I wish you lots of luck and will pray that you fing the support you need. You might also try the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

TUMORS ARE AN OVERGROWTH OF CELLS THAT FROM IN A MASS. 6 MALIGNANT TUMORS ON MY WERE REMOVED FROM ME BY SURGERY. THE BRAIN IS VERY COMPLEX. WHAT PART OF THE BRAIN DO YOU HAVE IT ON? IS IT AFFECTING YOUR VISION, TASTE, SMELL, SPEECH OR BODY MOVEMENTS OR MEMORY? CHEMO CAN SHRINK IT AND PUT IT IN REMISSION. I AM NOW CANCER FREE. ASK ME QUEST, I'LL TRY TO HELP YOU GET THROUG THIS HARD TIME. NEVER ASK "WHY mE?" YOU CAN LOOK AT LIFE DIFFERENTLY AND APPRECIATE THINGS THAT YOU HADN'T BEFORE. KEEP YOUR SPIRITS UP. A LOT OF BEATING IT COMES FROM A POSITIVE ATTITUDE.
