RECENTLY I VISITED A LAB TO GET MY MALARIAL TEST DONE, BUT I NOTICED THAT THE LAB TECHNICIAN HAD FRESH BLOOD STAINS ON HIS GLOVES WHEN HE INSERTED A NEW BUTTERFLY NEEDLE INTO MY VEIN. HE HAD OPENED THE NEW NEEDLE AND UNWINDED THE PLASTIC TUBE WITH THOSE BLOOD STAINED GLOVES. ALSO THE TIP OF THE NEEDLE HAD TOUCHED THE PLASTIC TUBE BEFORE HE INSERTED THE SAME INTO MY VEIN..I AM VERY MUCH CONCERNED AND SCARED THAT IF THOSE BLOOD STAINS ON HIS GLOVES CARRIED HIV GERMS THEN CAN I ACQUIRE HIV GERMS THRU THIS MODE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW THAT WHAT SHOULD I DO? IS THERE A NEED TO GET MYSELF TESTED. WHICH TEST DO I HAVE TO GO FOR? I SINCERELY NEED HELP AND AM SCARED TO DEATH.

why are we not getting more attention? 18% of Nam and Nam erea vets got it from either and, or ,our selves.yes i shot up a few times, but it only takes once.yes that was my fault and take account for that mistake.people shareing straws, snorting share microcipic blood as well and get hep c.why is aids getting more air time when hep c needs,is more prevelant.i just want the word out. and for all of you perfects it is hard to transmit this sexually

Here I am with yet another odd question! :)

Let's say someone is contagious with a cold or the flu, and that they have some of the virus on their fingers (perhaps from coughing into their hand).

Then, let's say they pick up a cookie and put it down again. Would the cookie become "infected" because it was touched by fingers that had the virus on them? And if the cookie IS indeed infected, could I actually get sick with their cold or flu if I ATE the cookie?

This didn't happen to me personally. I'm asking because of a disagreement with my mom, in connection with the tradition of holiday cookie exchanges. She thinks eating cookies handled by sick people is an easy way to get sick yourself. I think that unless you have open sores in your mouth (for the virus to infiltrate), you probably WON'T get sick from eating the cookies.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks! :)

What are the symptoms of it? How long after you eat will you become sick? How long does it last? Do you need to see a doctor or go to the hospital or will it pass on it's own? Any other info you know...?

I've been worried about having mono for the last few weeks and find myself constantly feeling my neck area for "bumps" that my boyfriend had. I went to the doctor a week ago and got checked over and tested and the test came up negative. But I'm still worried. I'm prone to anxiety but was wondering if constantly touching my neck area will make lymph nodes bigger
