hi,
i am concerned, at work i used a paper towel as substitute for a tissue paper as i have a cold with runny nose in particualr, afte ri had used it i saw a a little spot of red , which appeared to be blood . i am scared that blood could be infected and now that tissue touched my nose
im scared as to what can happen as a result of this and im worried, please help.

You can drive yourself crazy worrying about that. Don't ! There is miniscule risk of catching something contagious. Very miniscule. Hope your cold is better.

Oh come one,haven't you ever done this before?
The blood is probably coming from you nose which is probably inflammed from the blowing,rubbing etc.
Just today I blew my nose for the umpteenth time because of my cold and saw more blood than that and I know that it is coming from an irritated nose and I used toliet paper to blow my nose. . Big Deal!
You are blowing your nose,not romancing the paper towel and until you see something that looks like pus coming out of your nose which could indicate a sinus infection you don't have a thing to worry about.
Even if you do get a sinus infection it is not because of the kind of paper you blew your nose into.
What an alarmist!

Blood will not cause infection through the nose, especially dried blood. If blood touches broken skin, then it can lead to disease.
