Are you sure you have fungus? There is nothing over the counter that is truly effective. There are a couple of prescriptions that you can try, however you need to see a doctor to make sure that you do have fungus.

if it is a nail fungus it will be hard to treat over the counter. you can get OTC antifungal creams and apply it 4 times daily, but that will only work if it is a very very mild case. prescription wise there is lamisil tablets, which work, but may take 6 months or more depending on the severity of your case. lamisil can cause liver damage though, and is very expensive, and not covered on all insurance plans. so you have to take all that into consideration. there are a couple other prescription things to try, but you need to talk to your doctor first regardless

There is fungal creams and gels you can get over the counter at the drugstore,but be patient,it takes about six months to heal.You could also go to your doctor and get a prescription for a stronger strength cream.It still takes 4 to 6 months to go away.

You will have to take Griseofulvin tablets for several months, may be six months.
