I've been worried about having mono for the last few weeks and find myself constantly feeling my neck area for "bumps" that my boyfriend had. I went to the doctor a week ago and got checked over and tested and the test came up negative. But I'm still worried. I'm prone to anxiety but was wondering if constantly touching my neck area will make lymph nodes bigger

Your problem is mainly psychological, though the risk for contracting infectious mononucleosis is there. I do hope you do not have hypochondriasis - a psychological condition in which you feel you've a disease (with psychosomatic symptoms) and yet the tests are negative. Also you said you are anxiety prone.

Rest assured, touching your lymph will not make them bigger. Only a physician can accurately make the diagnosis not you.

confident, lymph nodes can grow to be aggravated and swell while you're pushing on them plenty. in basic terms like countless different tissue, they swell to attempt to heal themselves after any style of trauma, which could be so easy as being squished.

You are fine, healthy. You are just scared, but you have no illness, so just relax.
