A few weeks ago I got news of a transfer with my job to a new state.

Around the same time I've felt like somethings in my esophagus, my heart feels like it's skipping a beat about every 5 minutes and when I wake up (and stretch), I feel as if I'm going to faint if I continue with the stretch.

So I immediately stop the stretch, and my feelings return to normal (no tingling anywhere, just extreme lightheadedness if I continue with the stretch) and only in the morning.

I have a heartrate of about 75 bpm, my breathing is about 14 breaths per min. I workout (raising my heartrate to about 160) with no problems or pain.

I don't feel nervous, my blood pressure is normal, don't have difficulty swallowing, no nausea or pains anywhere. and I don't feel dizzy any time throughout the day.

I'm making an appointment to see the doc next week.

Any thoughts on what may be happening?
P.S. I'm also a light smoker (less than a pack a day). I know! I'm trying desperately to stop.

For the past 7 months, I've been having, I guess you could say "heart spazzes". I brought it up woth my doctor and he is completely baffled by what it could be. He didnt give me any medication. He only told me that if it gets worse to call 9-1-1 and go to the emergency room ASAP. Does anyone know what this might be? This is a serious question and I would appreciate it if there would be serious answers to go along with it. I would like to know what the heck is wrong with me...

Before Surgury, Dental Cleanings etc. Yesterday I found out that an online friend died from complications from this. My Doctor hasn't told me of any possible complications or side effects. If you are a Doctor, Nurse or a person with this Disorder etc. who can shed some light on this-I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Your information could save my life or the life of other people reading this.

I just had a baby 3 months ago (ignore picture - I'm using hubby's Yahoo account). Anyway, ever since then, I've been very short of breath and even have my hands / feet go numb, especially after meals. My blood pressure is normal, but sometimes it seems like my heart skips a beat.

A friend of mine recommended that I take OTC diuretics until my next doctor's appointment. She said it could be pulmonary edema caused by hormones getting back to normal. Has anyone heard of this? Do the diuretics work?

I just started taking them this morning, and they're actually helping me breathe!

Thailand now is very popular for health care. They have so many educated and well trained doctors from European Countries and US. The hospitals reach high standard with a well trained nurse team. The facilities and equipment are very modern. Besides, Thai people is very friendly and helpful.

She has had an angiogram and has a blocked heart valve as well as leaking arteries. She has to make the decision whether to have open heart surgery. She goes through spells of finding it very hard to breathe and then can't do anything.
Should she have this very serious operation?

A couple of years ago i was in worse shape then I'm in now. I'm actually not too bad. I'm 6'2" 230 lbs. For a while though i was under alot of stress with work (retail management), and my father and grandfather died in a 3 month time. I was stressed out. My doctor wanted to put me on a very very mild blood pressure pill. I told him no, i wasn't going to start taking a pill for the rest of my life at the age of 22. I'm now 24. My work is far less, i am in better shape, and i eat better.... well better than back then, Recently i have been consuming alot of bad food and drinking alot of caffine style drinks ya know. I have in the past gotten this pain in my chest. It's a real dull pain that worries me and yet doesn't. I only seems to be felt when i breath in deep. And it's pretty much located right where one would put the hand for the pledge of allegience. My avg blood pressure is usually in the 140's-150's and the 80's to low 90's. Do you think i should get this checked out like asap?
