All depends on the persons medical history and their lifestyle....for example..if they are diabetic..insulin dependant...and have other medical problems besides the angina and overweight...their expectancy isnt all that good compared to if they only had the unstable angina......no one can determine this persons expectancy exactly..but the best thing is for this person to watch their diet eating healthier, not smoke, not be overweight ,take their medications and be followed closely by a cardiologist....and they should be asking their cardiologist this question....

Minx64 is sooooo right. My Mother in law started having angina pains back in the '70. She is still here as mean as ever. I on the other hand have it now along with the diabetes, dialysis etc and hope to see the new year come in!
But you can do alot to get it stablized too. Lots of rest, walks, good diet, loving family & friends help.

Well, if nothing is done to reverse the condition, its completely uncertain. The condition can be reversed, by the way. Look into chelation to clear out clogged arteries. Take nattokinase, if injections don't suit you. Pomegranate can help to prevent oxidized LDL from getting in the way, and can reverse lesions in the arteries. Lecithin will help to break down cholesterol deposits. Magnesium glycinate will dissolve the calcium deposits. Vitamin C (from whole food like Amla, or Camu Camu) will help to protect the arteries and help strengthen them through renewed collagen production. Coenzyme q10 will do wonders for a struggling heart/ cardiovascular system, and L-carninite will funnel the stuff into the mitochondria where it is desperately needed. Removing all the heart clogging foods: dairy, in particular (and don't think low fat is better; greater chance for calcification of the arteries), wheat, which is pro-inflammatory, and all the "good fats" like corn, soy, peanut oil, canola, etc, do more to cause inflammation than anything we eat. Take in Fish Oil (a good brand without a fishy taste), and start exercising daily.
Its all reversible. A fatalistic attitude will result in exactly what is expected: death.

It really depends on the type of tumor and the pace at which it is growing. Has she seen an oncologist? I am assuming so, since she was sent home with nothing more that can be done. I would call the oncologist ( or any doc she did see) and ask them her life expectancy. This isn't a cold question, but you (& your mom) need to prepare yourselves. You can tell them her functioning status and her deterioration and they should be able to give you an estimation. My father-in-law died of a brain tumor 2 yearts ago...10 weeks to the diagnosis. He, too was sent home without any options of treatment. Good luck to you and your mother. Make the best of this time with her, you'll never get to do it again. God bless you.
