But you also need to know that metformin ONLY treats your FASTING blood sugar. Your POST-MEAL blood sugar is actually more important - it is a better predictor of cardiovascular disease. You should check your sugar 2 hrs after eating - if it is above 140, you should consider treatment for that specific problem (odds are, if your HbA1c {average blood sugar over 3 months} is above 7 or so, you WILL indeed have elevated post-meal blood sugar)

Metformin is a medicine of biguanide kind, one of oral treatments for Diabetes Mellitus type 2. It does not increase insulin production but insulin sensitivity. Therefore it can be used combined with other diabetes oral treatments or insulin.

The only thing that comes to my mind is the movie Deep Throat where the doctor is funneling coca-cola in to Ms. Lovelace's holiest of holies and drinking it out. LMAO Beer sounds much better to me but I was thinking that could cause a yeast infection so maybe it's best just to drink that straight from the bottle! :)
