For about a year now I have been having chest pains on the left side, a dull pain in my back on the left shoulder blade, a sharp pain in the back of my left arm. This pain comes on when I am just sitting or lying down. I have been to the emergency room twice had EKG and came back negative twice, I have had a stress test and it came out negative. I will be sitting down at my desk or driving in my car and all of a sudden I feel like an electric shock in my chest. I am sick of living with this condition, I have gone to a cardiologist and two different M.D.'s. No one can find anything. Someone suggested to me it may be angina. Wouldn't one of the three doctors been able to pick up on that or at least suggest testing for it. I am 29 years old and i was not born with a heart disorder, but could I have heart disease already. If so, would they not know to look for it. They just tell me that I am too young, so why do i live with this discomfort everyday.

Has anyone tried the Dean Ornish diet to reverse and prevent heart disease? Has it helped? I want to begin the diet and am wondering if it really works.

My best friend's mom is in ICU...so far: Her brain is swelled, the left hemisphere dead and hemmoraging into the right side. She's becoming less responsive. She passed the first breathing test...but failed the second one (but she opened her eyes as soon as the oxygen was stopped...like she was fighting)
Is she gonna make? Please be nice... this is for real. I am going to see her tomorrow.

It feels vaguely circulatory. I first noticed it sitting in a lecture in a cramped desk a couple weeks ago - - - since then it's come and gone - - not major pain really but it feels vaguely circulatory, like a kink in a hose. Tonight it's annoying the crap out of me. I am in my 20s and pretty overweight, but have no other hallmark signs of DVT or anything...should I worry? If so, how soon should I see a doctor?

I feel different sensations in my chest. I describe them as if my heart is pumping, but then stops and then beats again. Sometimes I feel something strange as if my heart were a wet dog that shakes to get rid of the water excess; it is like a very rapid shakiness that lasts 1-2 seconds. One day I got out of my car and felt that every other heart beat was missing. It lasted for about a whole minute. If I go to the doctor the EKG looks normal because by coincidence the heart is normal during that minute that I am connected to the machine. What is the brief shakiness in my chest? It can happen if I am relaxed or under stress, happy or sad, rested or tired.

I have a weak heart from anthracycline therapy. I see my cardiologist at least once a year and check my blood pressure daily. my blood pressure is normal, but my pulse is usually between 80 and 130 beats per minute. My cardiologist said its because I need more aerobic exercise, but he didnt give it a name. Does anyone know if there is a medical term for a consistently high pulse?
