This sounds like sciatica, which is nerve pain caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve in your back (from a bulging disk in your spine -- a "slipped disk" -- or from other back injuries). The fact you are also experiencing numbness suggests to me that your sciatica is pretty severe. You should see a doctor -- physical therapy can make a HUGE difference in this condition, and anti-inflammatories and other medications and help as well. You don't need to keep suffering!

Depends on your age but it could be a dessicated disc, bulging disc or herniated disc in your lower spine (lumbar).
You need to get an MRI and x-rays to confirm this.
When vertebrae in your lower back are out of alignment or the soft cushion fluid disc between the vertebrae start pressing against the spinal chord you feel the symptoms you describe in your lower extremities.
A good orthopedist will be able to diagnose this and recommend the best treatment. Get a referral from your doctor.
Best of luck.

it sounds like you have a major nerve being pinched.....this can be caused by an injury or a bone spur. it has nothing to do with your heart. i had a back injury that resulted in me having a lower lumbar strain that was pinching a nerve. i was on physical therapy for 3 wks....i had the same probs...leg hurting from hip to toes.....going numb..and such.......best to find a second opinion from a diff doc. i still have problems with my hip now, and its been almost 6 yrs. GOOD LUCK!!!!

It sounds like a pinched nerve or maybe worse like a herniated disc.
In any case it is always best to get to your doctor or the emergency room and not YAHOO

Sounds like you may have a herniated disk in your lower back. Sounds like you need an MRI. Go to your doctor before it gets worse.

This chronic pain may be caused by Sciatica caused by a vertebral disc. or pinched nerve. It may also be a side effect of an arthritic hip joint.

Sounds more like a nerve problem. I would go see the doctor.
I had a problem with nerves in my leg and it was a weight issue.
Best of Luck but please go see a doctor.
