Occasionally my blood pressure gets really high and I was wondering what I could do to lower it at that moment. I have already talked to my doctor about it and she is putting me on medication. I was just wondering if anybody knew what I can do immediately that would make it go down.

Has anyone else had a heart ablation with 3-D mapping? I was supposed to go to the hospital tomorrow for the surgery, and the hospital called and told me that they can't get it to work!! Has anyone else had a sucessful heart ablation, or do you have any info about heart ablations? I've had one before, but they're using different equipment than they did last time.

Thanks for any info.

I had AV node re-entry and when they ablated me, the electrophysicist said I would feel like I was trying to go into AV node re-entry, but he ablated this and I would not be able to do it, and I should never have the problem again.
Now, I have palpitations sometimes over and over again in a day. It drives me crazy. Anyone else do this?

My mitral valve was replaced in 2001 with a mechanical valve.
It saved my life. I was going into congestive heart failure at the time and now I am fine.

I asked this question - out of 15 replies only one answer was on target. I didn't ask if I should take it - I gave reasons why I didn't feel it was a viable option for me - so I asked if YOU would take it. Well?

some kind of shot because of the extreme edema in his legs and feet and wanted him to stay in hospital, he refused ( from old school if you can't pay don't do it) ANyway, on Friday he went to his regular doctor who prescribed a pill to eliminate the liquids from lungs I think, its not working, Today, I am very concerned his legs and feet are very swolllen, he is vomiting blood and will not go to ER, insists on waiting until his dr. appt. on Friday. Can someone call an ambulance for someoone else even if they refuse to go to the hospital, I know he won'tlet the paramedics take him.......Just so worried and don't know what to do. He is 77 yrs. old and such an wonderful person. He also won't apply for medicare, I am pretty sure he would qualify.

When you are at home recovering, what are some things that can happen? My fiance's temp keeps going up and down and they say it could be heart lining inflamation, His eyesight is getting worse - I know that anesthetic can do a lot of strange things too. Please tell me the things that have happened to you or your loved ones so I can pass it on to him. The hospital, nurses and Dr's have not told him anything. Thank you.
