sure it is good - for many reasons.
1. it is a long acting blood pressure (BP) medication, thereby giving you constant levels of medication in your blood. This helps to control your blood pressure at a constant level around the clock.
2. It can help with many other 'diseases'. It can control tremors (essential tremor), prevent migraine headaches, control your heartrate (if you have an atrial fibrillation).
3. It is low in serious side effects, unlike other blood pressure medications such as ACE Inhibitors and Angiotensin receptor blockers. Some side effects are slowed heart rate, sexual dysfunction, and some heart electricity conduction delays if the dose is not correct

Do not take if you have severe or uncontrolled asthma, though!

as with any medication, be sure to follow your doctor's instructions faithfully..... inderal LA is a good blood pressure medication although there are many newer types on the market today.....make sure that you check your pressure on occasion and report any unusual symptoms immediately to your doctor so that he can determine if dose adjustment is necessary.... dosages of medications are very personalized.... careful not to comapre your treatment with anyone else's as each person's circumstances are different..... if in doube call your doctor...

it is poropranolol hydrochloride, no one can say is it a good drrug or not except your doctor because that depends on yourself, it is a non selective beta blocker so it is contra-indicated with heart failure.
so i cannot say it is good or not, it is good for some people and for others are not, some people has hypertension due to increased renin so they take ace inhibitors , some take calcium channel blockers, others take a diuretic, or others even may not take drugs, they can just decrease salt intake and decrease weight and be normal without drugs.
also the dose depends upon your status ,and just your doctor can tell you about it.

Whether a medication is "good" or not is really patient-specific. What may work for one person, may not work for another. Also, the dosage of a medication is patient-specific as well. It all just comes down to trial and error and seeing which medication and dose works for you.
