You would be Doctor Who!

If you had two hearts then if one got damaged the other would take over, so in that special case you could live longer.

Actually two separate hearts won't help you live longer or be more powerful. You are just spreading the organ's around. We have two kidneys and and it doesn't help us any more. People have lived long lives on only one kidney.

The body adjusts itself to need the minimum possible to survive. If it had too much of an organ then it would have to spend extra energy to support it. Obese people can develop heart problems. The heart grows in size to pump the extra blood through the body. It is a drain on the body's resources so it doesn't work as well. Instead of being a good thing an over-large heart is a bad thing.

Then there is efficiency. With two hearts you would need more body infrastructure to support them. More nerves to control them, more blood vessels to feed them, and more cross-links in the blood stream to manage the blood flow. But, it sure would be nice to have an extra heart in case one failed. It would be touch and go for a while, but the remaining heart would take over the job after a while.

Its not just a matter of having another heart, you would need another circulation system too.
You probably would not live long because there wouldn't be enough room in your chest for even one of those hearts to develop normally.
There is a device they are testing that implants in the chest that acts like an artificial heart for people with severe heart disease, but I don't think that is what you are asking about.

I have a friend that has a smaller, parasitic-type heart attached to his normal =-sized heart. It does get into the circulation "act"; but not much. He hasn't had many problems with it; he's not what I'd call sick, and it isn't going to kill him....but I would call him "puny" part of the time. He can't do "hard labor", or things like jogging, working in the heat....but he's looking at a normal life span. He's 50 yrs old now, and still kicking.

It might make you run faster and think faster with the increased blood flow, But I dont think ti would make you live longer. It might actually work in reverse.

Twice the amount of love. I think your blood would be pumped through your body too quickly, not very healthy. I think you would die young and be very weak. But that's my own opinion, no medical background so likelyhood being I'm wrong.
