I had AV node re-entry and when they ablated me, the electrophysicist said I would feel like I was trying to go into AV node re-entry, but he ablated this and I would not be able to do it, and I should never have the problem again.
Now, I have palpitations sometimes over and over again in a day. It drives me crazy. Anyone else do this?

You may have an inappropriate sinus tachycardia, which is a complication of ablation. I'm asssuming you were ablated for PSVT/AVNRT. Palpitations are common following ablation but shouldn't last more than six months. Go back to your cardiologist, at least make sure these palpitations aren't ventricular, then you can discuss further treatment options...good luck! -DrP

The best way to define what is causing your palpitations is for you to wear a Holter monitor or an event recorder and record what is causing palpitations. If you had AVNRT before the most likely possibility is that you may not have been ablated completely and are having recurrent symptoms.

Once the recorder diagnoses the cause of your palpitations you may need further ablation or medical therapy such as beta blockers.

My daughter has a congenital heart problem she had the aortic valve repaired. She began have A fib several years ago and had ablation 10 months ago, she had fewer episodes of A fib, but in the past three months she has had only 1 attack each month and that was near her menses

Had the same problem... they couldn't make my arrythmia sustain long enought to ablate it though... I just live with it and if it gets bad enough I goto the ER. Sucks, doesn't it?
