Yep, but it could be stress tightening you chest muscles and mimicKing heart issues. But get it checked out for sure, I would do the BP med, your BP is borderline hypertension.

Yes for your own peace of mind have it checked out. You may have a weak heart. I know a young girl (18) who grew so fast as a child that she had chest pains. Now they say she has a weak heart. There is a history of heart problems in her family as well. I let her read your problem and she said to tell you to get to a doctor and have it checked out...male or female go get it checked out. 24 is too young to die especially if you want to live a good long life. The bottom numbers you have indicate you have border line to actual high blood problems... go asap NOW. Good luck and hope it can be be done without you having to permanently be on pills.

yes you need to have that checked out... and get tested -- blood test and ECG's.
the sudden change in your diet and lifestyle may have caused this. and even though you are tall, a blood pressure of 140-150/80-90 is still high especially when you're young.
however, not all chest pain mean heart problem -- it could be other things too... lung problems causes it, anxiety, panic attacks and other conditions. if your doctor tells you your fine and does not do any tests on you, seek second opinion.

I started having chest pains when I was about your age, turns out I have congestive heart failure caused by sarcoidosis (an autoimmune disease). I'm not saying this to scare your or anything, because what you have is more than likely nothing, but you should have it checked out. An EKG could come back normal, mine always do. I also have normal blood pressure. You should ask for an echocardiogram, which is an ultrasound of your heart. If that comes back normal, you're probably OK. But it's better to know that not to.

ANY chest pain should be checked by a physician. It could be your heart, chest muscles, GERD, esophageal spasm, heart burn, asthma, CHF, bronchitis, sore muscles from exercise.
You are "height challenged" at 230 lbs. In other words, you need to lose weight. But that should not be news to you.
Are you female? Heart attack symptoms are different for women. We do not always get the heavy, crushing pain in the chest that men often get.
In a nutshell, GO TO THE DOCTOR AND GET CHECKED!

I'd check it out, I wouldn't listen to some advice on a free answers and questions thing.
People who say they know might be lying
Get it checked out to be sure, it is probably nothing but it could be everything. The doctor can tell you this.
You do need to get in shape and eat healthly, your body is a well oiled machine, now you know what happens if you fill your car with crap and no oil...

Yes, I think you should get it checked out and I think you should get your blood pressure under control. You are gradually destroying your vital organs.
Would you rather take a pill for the rest of your life or not have a life.

I would get an EKG and start blood pressure medications. Taking them now doesnt meant you will have to take them for the rest of your life, you can continue to make lifestyle changes to lower your bp while you are taking the meds and then go off the meds and see what your bp is.
good luck
