I'm high risk for breast cancer as my sister had it 4 years ago. I don't have a lump in the breast but above the breast in the chest area I'm sore to touch_muscle area. Last time I saw a surgeon about a cyst in the breast__he said if it hurts_don't worry_it's not cancer.

I know some people have had cancer in the chest wall__what were your symptons ?

About 7 yrs ago, I went for a mammogram due to a lumpy area in my left breast(upper-outer region).I was told it was "nothing to worry about." Well, the lumpiness never went away and about 2-3 months ago I started noticing that sometimes at night when I'd take my bra off for the night that the left cup (bottom part) would have a strange and foul odor. Then,after pressing on the lumpy area because it was sore,I noticed a green-looking,malodorous,milky discharge coming from my left breast.Perhaps out of fear,I tried ignoring the problem and just became more diligent with keeping the area/my bra clean. It's not A LOT of discharge. If I ssqueeze my breast as though I were trying to express breast-milk from it, the green discharge trickles out easily. --This is a serious question..Please--if you have any expertise relating to such a subject,please tell me what it may be...could it just be an abscess? Could it actually be cancer?

My father has been defecating blood since january. A bit in January of 2007 so he went to see a doctor. The doctor told him nothing was detected and he gave my father some pills. The bleeding stopped for some time. Now its august and he has been defecating a lot of blood for the past weekend. So he is going to see a doctor tomorow. The blood is bright red and I am afraid he might be diagnosed with colon cancer.
Aside from the blood, the only other symptom I can find is the reduced size of his stools. I know that it might be some others diseases but obviously, colon cancer is the worst.
I know early stages of colon cancer can be treated easily, but given the situation (occasional bleeding in january, off, then again a lot in august), if worst comes to worst, he is diagnosed, what stage do you think he is in now?
This is a real situation, please no jokes. Thanks

my mom found out she has pancreatic cancer about 2 1/2 months ago.a week ago she had to do a ct scan and they think her cancer is going away.it is barely visible on her pancreas.she has gained about 40 lbs. since she was diagnosed and she has had only a couple of side-effects to her chemo.she is also on a trial drug.she doesn't even look like she has cancer.her blood work is very good.her doctors are surprised at how good she seems to be doing.so does she sound like she is getting over her cancer?

i have smoked for about 3-4mnths and i have decided to stop, as i'm only 16. i never really knew just how bad it is for you as i grew up with both my mum and granma smoking but now i know just how bad it is. and i have mild pain in my chest when i take really deep breathes and its only been today and its not all the time. is it anything serious or just something expected. serious answers only thx.

I've noticed a small sized lump on my lower back, located on the left side of my spine. It's roughly the size of a marble and very soft. I could move it around somewhat....It wasn't there a week ago. What could it be? Should I worry about it? It grew that big in one week!

my family wants to migrate in canada infact we have a provincial nominee certificate but the problem is while waiting for the approval of our provincial nominee my husband has been diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma. i am a pale person and i can't tan... whenever i go out in the sun, i put on sunscreen... usually spf 45, at least... now i have spf 60, and i still burn... i put it on every hour like i'm supposed to but still manage to burn... i have gotten a second degree burn from the sun on the back of my neck and on my shoulders... both times i had spf 45 on... i always burn every summer... many times... am i a risk for skin cancer, and if so, how much of a risk...

My aunt has had cancer for a while and has just found out today that she is stopping treatment because it's not working and the cancer has spread. I want to write out a card to her letting her know how much she means to me...but I am worried about what I write. I don't want to offend her or make her feel worse. Anyone have any words of encouragement or gratitude that I can give her?
