I am unsure what you are saying? Im guessing you have had a neph on one kidney? Are you asking if you can get tumor on remaining kidney? It is possible - but that is why you undergo follow up checks after your nephrectomy - your team of people (drs, specialists, oncologists,) should have explained this to you after your diagnosis and op - I have just had a partial nephrectomy and have 6 monthly checkups on remaining portion and other kidney, plus ct scans 12 months for bones and lymphs. Always ask lots of questions from your team and keep asking until you get answers. Some treatment involves radio, depends on the stage and size of your tumor. Hope this helps you - best of luck and hugs

It is possible to get cancer in the remaining kidney after a radical nephrectomy. Options would depend on the size of the tumor when it is discovered. if you undergo regular surveillance , it is more likely that any new disease will be discovered when it is still small. Radiofrequency ablation can be considered for small enough tumors. Otherwise a partial nephrectomy or another radical nephrectomy may be needed for larger tumors. Obviously, if you don't have kidneys or your remaining kidney tissue is not enough to meet your body's need over time or gets injured somehow, dialysis would be needed.

if you will undergo to another radical nephrectomy you have to have a kidney transplant, so you have to have a regular follow-up to doctors to prevent another nephrectomy. Stay healthy
