My aunt was diagnosed with cancer 1 1/2 years ago. She went through Chemo and everything was going great for her. Last week she went back to the doctors and found out that the cancer was back in 3 different lymph nodes. However this time she's being treated with medication. I'm not sure what the medicine is called. Has anyone been treated for cancer this way? Does it have a high success rate? I'm really scared for my aunt and would really appreciate anyones input. Thanks!

Can someone tell me if I have Colon Cancer or some kind of colon problems?

I'm 22 and I'm a female. For years, I have been getting this sharp pain in my colon that comes and goes every now and then. I can say I probably experience this 12 times per year (spread out throughout the year). The pain feels like my colon is probably contracting or maybe like it's being stabbed by a knife, because it is very sharp feeling. It can come out of the blue, while I'm lying down, standing, or sitting and it stays for maximum of 5 seconds maybe.

I've never inserted anything into that area and I don't ever use it for anything except bowel movements. I've never had hemerroids or any rectal bleeding or anything. I still have not gone to get it checked out. I looked up Colon Cancer symptoms on the internet and the symptom that I have is not among them, so I am really confused as to what may be happening.

If this symptom may sound familiar to you can you please share with me what it may be? :^(

My sister has received three out of eight tx's so far and the taste in her mouth is nauseating to her. She brushes her teeth all the time but it makes her mouth sore and she is dealing with mouth sores already, another side effect.

Breast cancer is curable in early stages- that too without sacrificing the breast. But for that one needs to be treated by doctors with considerable expertise & experience and hospitals with state of art facilities for cancer treatment. Big teaching hospitals like Sanjay Gandhi postgraduate institue hospital in Lucknow and All India Institute hospital in New Delhi have all these, and being government hospitals, offer these treatment for heavily subsidized costs. But general public is not so well aware of these facts. As a result, not too many patients avail of these opportunity to recieve the world class treatment available at these hospitals.

iv posted on here about a question of recent swelling ect of hands feet legs.
my friend sent me information on this. i looked it up and it makes perfect sence ,,iv had a kidney removed with the ureter and neck surgery and it mentions both of those in causes..hmmm just wondering..no need to answer..but if u know someone who has it or urself let me know, cause the pain is unbearable. and i guess surgery can be done in some cases otherwise noting but physical therapy , which sorry is a joke sometimes....been there done that...works for some but for others its a waste of time and gas to drive there......compression stockings and gloves. lord i feel 90 already...
thanks all
have a great new year and be safe..

A friend of mine has ovarian cancer and, is in remission. She's had some chemo-therapy but has stopped, she's also refused to take the meds to keep it at bay. And because the chemo, she's now anemic. Can anybody tell me what her life expectancy is? she doesn't want me to be too concerned about it either----how should I cope with her indifferent attitude about her condition, especially since I love & care about her so much?

They found a tumor on my Dad's liver and have referred him to a pushy (my opinion) transplant dicision of the hospital that is 2.5 hours away from my father's home. I question why they would want to tamper with the quality of life for a fully functioning, sympton and pain free person. Would you get another doc's opinion even if this referral was from a doc you respect?

Has there been a study to understand the beneficial effects of
prolonged exposure to moonlight (after-all, it is reflected sunlight), such as to probe, maybe, potential benefits as vitamin-D formation (safely, without the effects of skin-cancer as in
direct sunlight exposure) and mood-enhancing neurotransmitters (for depression treatments)?

my skin is not really light, but i burn easily. I do work long hours under the sun, and use sunscreen on my face, neck and arms, i wear jeans and boots all the time, BUT i developed this dark, almost black, irregular spot on my ankle. sometimes it bleeds a little, and it has grown a bit in the past weeks, i tried and make nothing of it since it was in an area which remains covered all the time, but now i'm doubtful wheather it's melanoma?

Recently, I had a thyroid biopsy on my thyroid nodule and was lucky enough to find no cancer cells present. However, my thyroglobulin level is very high, 679 ng/mL compared to the normal range of 2.0 - 35 ng/mL. I know that other conidtions also cause elevated thyroglobulin level. But a level that is almost 20 times higher that normal makes me worry. Could experts on thyroid disease give me some advices? Thank you very much in advance.
