I personnaly know a guy who has several (inoperable) golf-sized tumors in his brain. The doctors first told him "eight weeks".
But he has been around since then for a few years. I think he owes his life now to an experimental treatment he has been receiving since then. Meditation seems to be helping him a lot too. Of course he has highs and lows (he has had an epilepsy episode recently), but he still retains some quality of life. He does not expect to get completely cured, but he enjoys every additional day.
If your husband still wants to fight, you can look for the new experimental treatments for him. There are several protocols available with new efficient medication against solid tumors.
But if he does not enjoy life anymore and is tired of fighting, listen to him, and be there for him.
I wish you a lot of courage, and my prayers are with you.

If he is not yet enrolled in a hospice program, he can still get physical therapy. It can be done at home if he is considered "homebound". Talk to his MD, who can write a prescription for an evaluation and necessary therapy. It can even be argued that it will inhance his quality of life.
Not knowing just what type of brain cancer he has, it's impossible to give you a statement of prognosis; it all depends on the type of tumor he has.

It depends on why his legs don't work. Is he just weak from the surgery, or has the cancer affected his motor skills? If he is just weak, it is possible that he will regain some strength and be able to walk, but if the cancer or its treatment has caused the problem, it might not be correctable. Discuss it with his drs and see what they think it is.
