You NEED to go to a Doctor. I had what I thought was a strange lump on my lymph nodes. Only my doctor was able to reasssure me it wasn't cancer, fortunately. I hope you dont have cancer, but the sooner you catch it, the more treatable it is. Go to your doc immediately. Good luck and best wishes.

All lumps and bumps should be checked out ASAP. No matter where they are, only you know your body the best and if a lump is new your DR needs to be told about it. Your lymph system is kinda like a catch all for things in your blood stream, so it could be a million things and the last thing you want is it to be soemthing very easy to have taken care of but putting it off made it worse, like having an infection, call your DR or go to the ER if you get really worried or there are noticeable changes before you can get to your DR

No, I had this same thing. It is either a cyst, or a swollen but painless lymph node. Whenever mine occured I had an eye infection. The next time you call your doctor, mention it and if there is any cause for alarm, I'm sure they will call you in.

It's probably a swollen lymph node. Lymph nodes are good for all sorts of reasons, they kinda play the role that says, hey theres something wrong here! My surgeon told me lymph nodes are a way of telling you there is infection within your body.

You should see a doctor right away. This is exactly how we detected cancer in my 14 yr.old daughter. She found a large lymph node in her neck that she had for quite some time. It ended up that she had thyroid cancer w/lymph involvement. Nothing can be taken too lightly. I figured we'd leave w/ an antibiotic & be fine. Instead, she's had 2 surgeries and one dose of radiation. Please get it checked asap!

Yes you should go to the doctor. My boss just had surgery last month to remove them because she had one on each side of her neck and they were HUGE. Hers didn't hurt either but she got a lot of infections from them, so yeah, you need to go to the doctor asap. Good Luck!

YES - you could have something like sinusitis, inner ear infection, dental problems or even meningitis, PLEASE check temp and blood pressure/pulse and visit your physician ASAP!

okay this user is just throwing out possible infections you COULD have.

I urge you to just get it checked out before you get too upset. your lymph nodes are enlarged because they are fighting something. it DOES NOT mean cancer!! enlarged lymph nodes result from many many conditions.

cancer has pretty unspecific symptoms.

anyway, as i said. dont get too concerned. you could have a simple virus and your immune system just wasnt up to par for whatever reason. i had mono last year and i got sick with everything!!

Yes. Please go see a doctor. They will check you blood pressure and a doctor will look at it. Only the doctor knows what it is. It could be a cyst, which can easily be removed, but can become infected if messed with a lot. Go see a doctor and he/she will tell you what it is. You don't want to risk your health because of it.

You should be worried. A lot of answers have already been given, and i can add that Hodgkin's disease (lymphoma) presented itself in me exactly the way you describe. There's quite a list of things to rule out before you get to a cancer diagnosis, and if it IS, the earlier you get to it, the better.

Do you have any thyroid symptoms, more likely to be a goitre than cancer, if it isn't just reactive nodes from an infection.
