It could be something related to environment, like radon or asbestos in the house, or one smoker in the house, and other people exposed to second-hand smoke.
Barring all these known factors, this is a very interesting case. Has anyone examined your family's incidence, your uncles, aunts, grand parents ? Some lung cancer causing genes have been discovered recently, and not all cancer-causing genes are known.
But even if a mutation is present, don't panic, it does not mean that you will have it ! There are other factors that are involved in these diseases.

There is some evidence for at least one lung cancer gene. Smoking is still the biggest risk factor.

Is there any remote possibility that they maybe smoked, or you lived around any refineries, or were exposed to asbestos? The reason is your mom and dad would not have had any genetic link so they would not have the same probability of having the same type of cancer. But you and your siblings would be pre-disposed to having one or more cancer genes since both parents had cancer.

maximum cancers isn't usually something that's inherited. There are a pair of genes which would be for cancers like breast, ovarian and prostate. i think colon maximum cancers is additionally surpassed on. the certainty that your mom had cervical maximum cancers and her mom had leukemia has no longer something to do with genes and hereditary maximum cancers. maximum cancers would not pass generations the two. you're at no bigger hazard of maximum cancers than every physique else.

there isnt a cancer gene but there are genes that control the rapid cell division. ur family probably has a mutation in the mitosis and cytokinesis gene in the lungs cells. just stay away from smoke and keeps healthy.
