Most of the websites I have read discuss the potential for beer--especially hoppy ones--to cause allergies, not diminish them. Perhaps it is just the alcohol making me think I feel better...

Ok - we're into hayfever season again. My life is becoming a misery - wheezing, sneezing, itchy streaming eyes and serious fatigue. Have tried all kinds of remedies both herbal and convential antihistamines. May get minor relief from these but nothing great. Have asked dr about the injections but she says they are steroid based and have side effects therfore not keen to give them to me.

Fellow sufferers - have you found anything that helps? I cant take this misery any more. Someone at work recommended hypnotherapy - any of you got experience of this?

Thanks

Almost every year, as soon as Spring season starts, I develop this dry cough that later leads to difficulty in breathing. This would last the entire season, and cough medicines do not help much. Why is this? Is this allergies? Because I do not have the normal allergy symptoms like runny nose, or watery eyes. And besides, I am in the city now, so there is absolutely no pollen. Why do I still have this cough?

She prescribed me Fluticasone Propionate (Nasal Spray) for my nose, avelox for my tonsils and Claritin D. She also told me i can use an over the counter medication for sinuses.. does anyone know of any good ones.. I got the generic version of Benadryl at walmart, (it's called : Equate Maximum Strength severe allergy & Sinus headache) which has the same ingredients as benadryl..does anyone know if that works?

I've been telling the owner where I live and work that I have black mold, which, the sheetrock behind all the walls, which black has come through the walls, and everytime it rains, which this has been going on for over 6 months, my house is flooded, and the baseboards have just fallen off, ect..covered in black speckled mold, is this black mold or mildew. He says it's mildew, but, this has been going on for such a long time, he hasn't seen it, he's going by what the contractor who has taken over six months to find the leak, and the owner is siding with what the contractor says, and I've gotten repiratory infections twice, stay on antibiotics, and my sinuses/allergies are so bad, which I take meds year round for arn't helping the pain in my face, thus, my dr. doesn't know anything else to do but send me to an ear, nose and throat dr. The owner says, that there is pollen in the air, which I know that, but, take meds for that and my meds arn't working, & can't keep taking antibiotics.

My nephew is allergic to literally everything - peanuts, eggs, milk, soy, wheat, etc. Anyway, my lil sis gave him a drink with red dye 40 in it and by morning his face looked burnt. It was a minor typical reaction to something he'd ingested or come into contact with, however, he hadn't left the house that day and the only thing that he had had different in his diet was this drink. She re-read all the ingredients and the only thing she could come up with is blue dye 1 and red dye 40.
I loooked up blue dye 1 all over the web and did not really see any info on any kind of reactions. The red dye 40 was a mixed bag. So, I was just wondering if anyone here has had a reaction to this.

Thanks for you answers!!

My allergies have been really bad, constantly blowing my nose and thick mucus. I have this pressure pain at the top and at the back of my head. It hurts more when I squat down, bend forward, cough and blow my nose. Is this sinus pain? It feels like a pressure pain.

In the process of looking at engagement rings but after the hell I've gone through with my promise ring, I'm super-scared of buying a ring that I'm stuck with for life that's going to be unbearable to wear. My promise ring is 10K white gold and it first made my finger red itchy, now it has thick scales extending to all 4 fingers, between them and down to my palm, I've had the same reaction to necklaces but do OK with "hypoallergenic" earrings. My question is--what metal is best? White gold? Yellow gold? Platinum? What carat has the lowest quanity of nickel? I don't want a ring that is miserable to wear, I want a ring I love as much as I love him!

I know there are products to coat the ring, nail polish and otherwise, but I'd like to avoid having to do that all the time.
