It is common for allergies to become worse during pregnancy from an overheightened immune system, due to hormone changes. It is also possible for the reverse to happen where allergies actually decrease with pregnancy. If your doctor suggested Benadryl and knows your pregnancy and medical history,it is probably okay, however a phone call to his office with your question will ease your mind,Benadryl will make you very sleepy,a good alternative is homeopathic drops which have no side effects and are perfectally safe during pregnancy.

Please check with your doctor about the Benedryl. While mine says it is fine, every doctor is different.

For the record: My allergies get REALLY bad while pregnant. so you are no alone.
