Summer is approcaching and my son is allergic to wasp/bees last year he had three bad stings and was left in hospital with swollen skin.He had to have the skin removed from his finger as it was so infected,The doc has given antihystimenas but sometimes they are not very effective any one else out ther had this and how did you handle it.Don't want to spend all the good weather at hospital we're in the UK

He doesn't have an epi pen he doesn't go into anaphalitic shock it's only the sting area that get's infected becoming red and severly swollen (like elephantitis)and the skin has to be removed so that he doesn't loose the movement.

Just because he hasn't experienced an anaphylatic rx yet, doesn't mean that he won't. Get Rx for epi pen. Next sting could be fatal. You need to look into allergy shots and honey therapy as previously mentioned, I think the honey has to be from a certain radius of your home.

my kids aren't that allergic but I always keep benadryll on hand as well as on of those on demand ice pack... If I see a nest forming then I spray the area... Try having your son eat local bee's honey this may lessen the allergic reactions... also before playing in a park to look around for possible problems... Also if he is that allergic don't you have a "pen" to inject him harder antihistamine, if not look into that...
